Congrats Giants and Good luck in the playoffs. Padres my heart aches for you and hopefully NEXT year will be OURS!
Next year will be yours. I feel your pain, Sis. My Tigers stayed in first place last year right til the very end. Very disconcerting! Congrats Giants fans! Good game!

Hopefully, my Rockies don't fall apart at the end of the year and are able to give the Padres and Giants a run for their money next year... (notice how I didn't say the Dodgers... kinda cool not to have to worry about those guys for now!)
We love sparring with ya Sparty Jim! Your boys are great contenders....especially if they stay behind us *giggle* Huggzzz Jim.. can never resist teasing ya :)

Props to my boys. Most Giants wont admit it, or dont watch close enough to know, but if it weren't for you they'd still be 6 games behind, with another 20 games to play. No sweat. We needed this loss to fire us up. Next year we'll be gunning for Torres, Posey, Jonathan Sanchez. TO you TRUE GIANTS fans...congratulations. You gave us a hell of a time that last game...and if WE thought we were just gonna go in there and take it, we were sadly mistaken. THIS was the most exciting season in MLB, that I've seen with my own eyes. Thanks Padres, I love you now like I did then. See ya next year, boys.
Well said Jinny! By the time the season starts next year, I will be closer to cheer for our boys!! :) Goooo Padres!

Well, Padres enjoyed the lead for most of the season. Giants came in strong and steady to take the lead. Congrats to the Giants. Was an interesting race to the finish.

Congrats to the SF Giants on winning the NL West. My heart aches for all the Padres fans... to have had the season they had and not make the playoffs has to be very disappointing. I certainly didn't expect to see the Padres still in contention on the last day of the regular season. Although San Diego has missed the playoffs, they have nothing to be ashamed about.
The rest of the NL better take notice - the Giants and their pitching staff are going to do a great job representing the NL West in the 2010 playoffs!
