I'll take that bet.. I guarantee that UK will not go undefeated in the SEC this year. Get in touch with me and we can set something up.

Easy there killer. I'm not saying Texas has better talent or that they are a better team. My point is that 99.9% of the time, it takes a loss by the higher ranked team to upend them from that spot. It's just the way it works.
And if you make the claim that Texas hasn't played anyone, then you are in effect saying that UK hasn't played anyone yet either- UNC (at Rupp) and UCONN (at NYC) are Kentucky's only two signature wins vs. top 15 ranked opponents. Last night's victory in the O-Dome was an impressive win in a very tough environment. However, it's not going to make enough of an impact in the minds of the voters to put UK at #1.
I agree with you Pdub. I'm kinda glad they aren't ranked #1. They already get everyone's A-game just wearing UK Blue. I can only imagine how much more pressure that would put on this young team to keep that unbeaten streak alive along with holding onto the top spot in the nation.

I hate to rain on your parade, but Texas has beaten Michigan State and UNC. Two quality wins just like UK. I'm probably one of the biggest UK fans on the Q and I don't even think they should be ranked #1 right now- even if they beat Florida tonight. They don't have enough to jump over Texas, just like if Texas was ranked lower to start the year, they wouldn't have enough to jump over UK. Kentucky needs Texas to lose before they can claim the #1 spot.
Right there with you. I think we have more talent on our team than Texas, but they have been playing more sound basketball up to this point. Can't say we deserve the #1 spot, plus that might be a bigger target on our backs than we want. Conference play is here so we'll see real soon.

True, true, but I'm hoping UK had their upset scare last week vs. Georgia. Then again, they may have been looking past them to this game. It sure took a lot more energy to beat Georgia than I thought it would. Kentucky has been playing a lot more of their bench players, so they should still have some fresh legs. Barring a complete breakdown from Kentucky's offense, the only shot Florida has to win is if they can make 12-15 three pointers. Not probable, but I've seen it happen plenty.

Too much size on the floor for the Gators to handle. If they can't handle Ogilvy and the Vandy bigs, then there's no way they can cover Big Cuz, Patterson, and Orton. UK's perimeter shooting (or lack thereof) might keep this one close in Gainsville, but the Wildcats developing full-court press and smothering defense should give them a smooth road to victory.
