First off, re-read my post you responded to. I had no clue that there was a "clock issue" until husker_IA said ND got robbed. Me response to him was "are you drunk again?" At no point in my comment you responded, did I complain about any possible, errors being made. In fact until husker brought up that there was possible issue, I had no clue that there was a supposed issues. Also if you go back to my comment immediately following the game I said "What a great play call, Congrats MSU!" So before you accuse me of being a "sore loser", read my comments completly please.

The following link may also lead to some clarification on the play clock... as has already been stated, not only is the TV clock not always in sync with the stadium clock, but apparently the official watches the clock and doesn't look down to make sure the snap is off until he sees :00 on the clock:

The play clock thing... that was close. I was at the game, but the action was way down at the other end of the field. I was watching the play clock wind down and was screaming "SNAP THE DAMN BALL" and because it was so close, I wouldn't have been surprised to see a flag. However, I did think they got the play off in time... the thing I am most upset with is when I saw the holder pick up the ball, I figured it was a botched play and put my head in my hands while yelling "WHAT THE F*** ARE YOU DOING???"... Next thing I know... TOUCHDOWN, MSU!!! I never really saw the complete play because I thought MSU bobbled the snap and figured the outcome was going to be ugly. To see it over and realize it was entirely planned made me think "pure genious" or "really, really gutsy".

Heck of call and Coach D has balls the size of pumpkins to make that call in that situation... Spartan fans would have been upset had that worked out differently, but really, it was a good call - I am not so sure the young kicker would have been able to nail that field goal in that situation. If Cousins doesn't take the sack on the play before that, they probably go with the kick and maybe we are still waiting for that game to end.

Was a fun game... a little frustrating to watch the lead disappear everytime State would take the lead, but Notre Dame was going through the same set of emotions. Give Coach Kelly some time down there - he has been a winner everywhere he has been... just wonder if some of the Coach Weis has rubbed-off on him - going for it on that 4th down play had Weis' signature written all over it!

I understand your concern, please note I was at the game and had a few ND fans near by who did not wine at all about the clock like you are! You can talk to ESPN about the play clock and this is a fact! ESPN's play clock differed from the real clock at the stadium. MSU got the ball snapped off on time. Yahoo news noted about the play-clock and then had a small note at the end stating that when he saw the play clock at the stadium it did not match with the one on your television. and that MSU had clearly gotten the ball snapped before the clock struck 0. So MSU won fair and square!!! stop being a sore loser it is a done deal!!!! GO GREEN !!!!!!!!!!

I did not realize the play clock had expired on the fake fg, So I will give you that point. As far as the WR stepping out of bounds, the refs made a judgement call that he was forced out. Were they wrong, possibly but they felt he was forced out and returned to the field of play immediatly. There by allowing him to make the catch. Whether or not I like either things, it is what it is and it is a ND loss.

Maybe... Play clock expired on the fake fg attempt. On the last TD drive, the WR stepped out of bounds and came back in to make the play. On a close, hard fought game like that, the officials simply can't make errors like that. ND won that game, or at the very least they weren't given the chance to win it based on non-calls.

A bit worried about the Spartan defensive backs and that overall effort on both sides of the ball last weekend vs Florida Atlantic kinda left me with a "blah" feeling, but the Spartans will have no problem getting ready to play the Irish under the lights at Spartan Stadium. Look for Kirk Cousins to play much better than he has so far this season, but he won't have to do much... Edwin Baker and LeVeon Bell are going to pound the ball and control the clock... Notre Dame has a better team than last year simply because Charlie Weis is gone, but MSU will not lose this game at home!
