Texas should be in a foul mood for this one. looking for them to take advantage against what's been a poor Sooners' defense

I DO KEEP ON AS MUCH OF TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL AS POSSIBLE. SEEING HOW SO MANY OF THEM COME TO OU. SORRY ABOUT THE LOSS, THEY WILL JUST HAVE TO START ANOTHER ONE. I SAW THE RESULTS IN USA TODAY AND ON TEXAS FOOTBALL WEB. I WAS SHOCKED AS WELL. WERE THEY THAT MUCH BETTER THAN YOU. YES I AGREE. I DO CHEER FOR ALL BIG 12 TEAMS WHEN WE DON'T PLAY THEM.
Aledo (who beat us) was also a state champion. It was close, 14 to 10 and that was without our starting QB, Michael Brewer.. LTHS has won state championships three years in a row and going for their fourth. Micheal Brewer is still not playing and we lost one of our star receivers, Connor Floyd, in the very first game of the season. He had both bones broken in his lower leg and will probably be out for this entire season.... You're right. A lot of players end up going to OU and OSU because there are so many good ones coming out of TX. Love my high school football and my college football but not a huge NFL fan....too many of them are a bunch of punks as far as I am concerned...

My daughter goes to Lake Travis High School where Gilbert played and we watched him play many great games on the way to their two state championships. LTHS finally had their win streak of 38 broken about 3 weeks ago by Aledo....we had had the 5th longest win streak in TX high school football. Whatever the outcome tomorrow, it's too bad there has to be a loser even if I am less of a Stoops fan than a Sooners fan! :-)

YOU ARE SO VERY RIGHT. IT IS GOING TO BE A GOOD GAME NO MATTER HOW WE BOTH DID LAST WEEK. AND YES GARRETT HAS THE CAPABILITY TO DO WELL. I SAW FILM OF HIM IN HIGH SCHOOL. I'VE GOT A BUDDY HERE IN TOWN WHO IS FRIENDS THE COLT AND HIS FAMILY. THAT'S HOW I KNEW ABOUT HIM

And so are you sooners1980! I still believe it's going to be a close game despite the performance of both of our teams last weekend....granted, y'all won but with the loss we had, we do not want to feel that sadness again....so I say, "Hook 'Em!" ;-) This is what Garrett Gilbert is capable of if only Greg Davis could call a frickin' game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPYdfi-ep74

jo you are a fun and witty person to chat with. the reason texas hasn't sunk into the gulf is because texas is attched to oklahoma. which has 7 national championships, which their weight is able to keep texas's a%# out of the water

Red River Shootout is always one of college football's greatest atmospheres. Texas might have been looking ahead last week and got upset by UCLA while OU struggled but got by Cincy. I'm taking OU and there offense over Texas and there inexperienced defense

IF THE GAME EVER GETS MOVED TO JERRY'S WORLD IT WOULD BE A TRAVESTY TO COLLEGE FOOTBALL. IT WOULD ONLY BE ABOUT MONEY NOT TRADITION. THEY WANT TO MOVE SOMETHING FIX THE BCS PROBLEMS. I WON'T BE GOING BACK TO ANY RED RIVER SHOOTOUTS IF IT DOES HAPPEN

I hope the boys do better this week than last week..come on Longhorns you can do it!!!!!!

the 2 biggest things that needs to happen for us to win. 1 most important is how landry is able to throw against a good deffense 2 run the ball better
Agree. neither team has been impressive up to now, granted OU looked good against FSU, but the D needs to put the hammer down for a whole game and not let up when OU gets up.
