Can't agree with you there. Saying the Jets pretty much gave up in the second half is a rationalization as to the way the Vikings played. Would it be fair to say that the Vikings didn't start playing until the second half? Absolutely not. The Jets completely handled the Vikings in the first half--and the Vikings returned the favor in the second. Watching the game, I didn't see either team handing the other a victory--just two teams that were battling to take it.

Yes, you got the win and thats important but you did not dominate anyone and you were lucky that you won. It was more about the Vikings giving it away then the Jets dominating but a win is a win and congrats on that. I for one am looking forward to the rematch between the Phins and Jets. I'm sure the Pats are also waiting eagerly for their rematch. It should be interesting..!!

The Jets will be lucky if they make the play-offs. I seriously think that the rematch with the Dolphins and Patriots is going to be entirely different the second time around. Bellicheat never loses twice to an opponent and the Phins were missing a few key Defensive guys when they met the first time. These two losses would put them at 3-2 in the AFC East race....so the key game for them is the Buffalo game. If the beat the Bills they end up 4-2 in the division. If they lose, they end up 3-3 and then it will all depend on how the Dolphins and Pats do.
Right now, the Pats are 2-1 and the Phins are 1-2. Buffalo is 0-3. Lots of football left....we'll see what happens..!!

Its good to root for your team but be realistic and analyze the game according to facts, so that you have a better understanding of what areas need improvement.

The Vikings should have won the game. They were one over throw away from pulling off the victory in New York in front of the slime green home base.

Jets Defense got torched through the air for 3 TDs. Vikings Defense held the Jets to 5 FGs and one TD on the ground. I wouldn't say they stomped over anyone. They were lucky that Favre's tendinitis in his arm was acting up because it was an obvious factor.

First of all, a statement game is total domination of an opponent or beating an opponent convincingly- that is supposedly better than you are. That did not happen Monday night. The Jets were the favorite and they are (in Rex Ryan's eyes) Super Bowl contenders but I for one am not jumping on that gravy train of BS that the media is hyping up purposely just because they built a new stadium and need the revenue to make their money back. The Jets in the play-offs would make them money. The Jets in the Super Bowl would make them tons of money. The Stadium hosting a Super Bowl is going to make them hoards of money. The product on the field however, cannot compete with the likes of Pittsburgh, Baltimore or Indianapolis. It was a good win on Monday night but it was not convincing in any way. The game on Monday night was more about Minnesota giving it away, then it was about the Jets dominating. A special teams mishap led to a TD. Favre fumbles twice and throws a INT that led to six points. If he hits Harvin on that final drive when he was wide open and Revis slipped, the Vikings would have pulled out the win and this conversation about the Jets being great would not being taking place right now. Look at how the Vikes were dissecting the Jets Defense and dont think other teams are not going to try what the Vikes did. They just gave everyone in the league a blue print on how to attack that aggressive slime green defense. It will be interesting to see how they adjust to the aerial assault that they will be seeing. Cromartie can be exposed and Revis is good but anyone can be beat on any given Sunday if the right play is dialed up.

I think the Vikings can make the playoffs. They have some great weapons. As for Farve, I think he does need a couple weeks rest. Problem is, its more urgent to let him play and just give him shots for pain. I say, let the second stringer play, like you said. He (Jackson) may have to play down the road, so, let him loose now. Problem tho, They're trying for a Farve-Moss chemistry, not Jackson and Moss, and that one would not gel as fast. Once that Farve and Moss team gets better, things will change.

Yea, it was pretty sweet! Kind of makes me wonder "what if" though as I was hoping with Red McCombs gone, he would return to the Vikings after his exile to the Raiders. Such is life. A great game last night, the Vikes just came up a bit short. Right now, I'm just wondering about the condition of Favre's arm; when this happened with the Jets, Brett told the coaching staff he would be willing to rest and let it heal--the coaches didn't allow it. I'm hoping the Vikings make a different decision if it is necessary. Better to have him off for 3 weeks an have a chance at making the playoffs even as a wild-card rather than experience an entire year of frustration. Even so, at 1-3, that's going to be extremely difficult. I still have full confidence, despite the difficulty of the Vikings schedule that it can be accomplished. They almost did it against a great Jets defense last night.

That Farve to Moss TD pass was classic, just like I thought it would be if they connected for one.

I'm totally depressed, I thought we could pull this one off. With a 1-3 record I just don't feel confident we will win the division this year. I'm glad Favre and the Vikings gave them a good fight ,but it's not a "W" and that's all that matters.

One hell of a game.....Favre showed gutts and courage in this tough loss. They had some chances to win this one at the end- it was so close but in the end, the slime green pulled it out with that INT at the end. The AFC East will is going to get intense wth the Jets, Phins and Pats. The Vikes will get on a roll and make the post season- they are talented on both sides of the ball. They will be a force in the NFC play-offs.
