She reminds me very much of Native Diver. He did the same prance before and after every race. I saw him win all three Hollywood Gold Cups in the 60's. If you are west coast based you know who I speak of. Only difference and its a 180 degree difference. He was the fastest horse out of the gate and won something like 21 of 29 races and in every win it was wire to wire. When he came back to winners circle he would prance just like Zenyatta. Hope she wins on Saturday.!
I am east coast but I watch anything and everything I could and can. He was a beauty. It was sad how he just came up ill with colic and died. But he was a wild one and a great one!

I hear you load and clear..... Go baby... Zenyatta is better than Personal Ensign and Ruffian.........The best mare to ever run a horse race ever!
Mike Smith road the worst ride of his life that day and will never live it down because he knows it. He finally got her to run half way down back stretch when the real running had already started a quarter pole sooner. He really screwed this one up. I thought his ride on Mine that Bird vs Rachael Alexandra was a weak ride but this really tops that for gutless!

Another stride and Zenyatta would have won. Another quarter mile and this race would be history. The horse just gives everyone else too much of a lead and it took 20 races for one horse to hold on to it. Zenyatta is still perfect in my heart and without a doubt, the greatest horse racer of her generation.

Zenyatta can beat any horse of his generation any day any time of his lifetime.

You wish and hope, but if you don't hold a little love for Zen in your heart then your no horse racing fan at all.

Zenyatta should keep her winning streak alive with her patented stretch run.

Zenyatta coming from the back every time is the trick, even if they try to box her out the won't be able to pin her down. Try your hardest Blame, I dare you; with Mike Smith as the jockey and Zeny under him, the only look you'll get of her is her flanks as she passes you.

Zenyatta should be up with the greatest racers in history, no matter if she wins Saturday or not. 19 straight is an amazing feat, and her races are the best I have ever seen, better than Big Brown and Mine That Bird.
Big Brwon and Mine that Bird were flashes in the pan. She is better than some real greats like Citation, Spectacular Bid, John Henry, Man o War, even Affirmed and Seattle Slew. She will go down in horseracing lore as the greatest mare to ever race. Her personality proves she's intelligent, and highly aware of everything that's going on. She's in for her biggest test. This is a better field than last years Classic. Mike Smith has to ride her perfectly to win. She is the 8/5 favorite and much of the money bet on her will be from passive fans. Hard big money will be on her too. The distance is perfect for her long strides of course that would be the CLASSIC distance of 1 and 1/4 mile. If she gets clear she wins.

I don’t know if she is the greatest EVER but she should be viewed as one of the BEST. I have been following horse racing since the late 60's and I have never seen a late runner overcome pace and/or track bias to win EVERY TIME. She is SPECIAL and a great SHOWWOMAN and should be celebrated for her RARE accomplishments regardless of competition and surface and outcome!

Zenyatta has won all seventeen of her synthetic starts on Cushion Track, Polytrack, and Pro-Ride, but she is also 2-for-2 on conventional dirt, and both of those outings at Oaklawn Park were her largest win margins. Her best BSF was earned in the ‘09 Classic, so one could argue that she will be racing at her best distance/surface at Churchill Downs. You Go Girl! ZENYATTA

Bob Baffert called Zenyatta a "guided missile". I have to agree with him on that for sure. She hangs in the back and then she just shoots to the front like a cannon. She definitely is one of the greatest and I love watchin her everytime she takes the track. She is a generous mare that started a little later then most but it has paid off. She loves the crowds and we all love her!

They did a race (computer obviously) of her versus the top race horses in history, ex: Ruffin, Rachel Alexandra, Secretariat, Seabiscuit, ect. She came out on top with it. The people who did it know horses, and did lots of calulations. This just proves one more time that Zenyatta really is the mare to beat. And to think she was originally sold for $60,000!
