I was a bit surprised the Panthers gave the Packers some fight. That Cam Newton is the real deal. He was passing bullets, he needs to slow down on the running tho. That said, good teams win, no matter who they're playing. The Panthers made a great draft pick.

Good point, Carolina's running game is usually well-oiled, but I guess they're rusty so far. But sooner or later, they're going to have to shake off the rust.

Panthers need a running game from somebody other then Newton. If he continues to take the hits he is running the ball, his NFL career will be short term

Agreed. The Cards blitzed often and had 3 or 4 sacks, but their ability to pressure Newton was inconsistent. Matthews will be consistent, but Tramon Williams' shoulder injury is a cause for concern. Green Bay can't allow Steve Smith to get open like he was last week.

Clay Matthews and the Packers pressure is going to be knocking Cam Newton around all day. I'd be surprised if he puts up half the numbers in this game that he did against the Cardinals.
