Recap: Sacramento vs. Golden State

Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - Rookie Tyreke Evans finished with 23 points and eight rebounds to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 120-107 win over the Golden State Warriors.

Beno Udrih added 20 points and six assists for the Kings, who have won three of four since beginning the season with three consecutive losses. Jason Thompson added 19 points and 10 boards, while Donte Greene scored a career- high 17 off the bench.

Stephen Jackson had 21 points to pace the Warriors, who fell to 1-4 this season. Corey Maggette shot 8-for-12 to end with 20 points off the bench, while Kelenna Azubuike contributed 13 points and seven rebounds in the setback.

Anthony Morrow's three-pointer followed by a layup from Maggette got Golden State within 30-29 at the end of the first quarter.

Evans began the second with six consecutive points, though the Warriors netted two baskets to get back within a possession. The game was back-and-forth until the late stages of the half, and a pair of free throws from Evans and a hook shot from Thompson gave the Kings a 60-50 lead with two minutes left. Spencer Hawes' three-point play put Sacramento ahead 65-54 at the break.

The Warriors used a nine-point burst, led by Maggette, in the third quarter to get back in the game. The forward poured in eight points, including a layup nearly midway through the stanza to cap the rally and get his team within 72-68.

But as quickly as Golden State got back in it, Sacramento pulled away, as the Kings scored the next six to restore a double-digit edge. Two Ime Udoka free throws made it a 78-68 contest.

Sacramento closed the quarter by scoring eight of the final 10 points, and a Thompson basket with time running out established a 96-77 lead.

Mikki Moore began the fourth with a dunk for the Warriors, but the Kings pulled away for good with the next eight points. Hawes' jumper ended the surge for a 104-79 advantage, and Sacramento led by double-digits from there.
