Recap: Kansas vs. Kent State

Lawrence, KS (Sports Network) - Sherron Collins scored 19 points to lead the Kansas Jayhawks to an 87-60 victory over the Kent State Golden Flashes in a non-league affair at Allen Fieldhouse.
Marcus Morris added a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds for Kansas (5-1), while Tyshawn Taylor contributed 12 points. Cole Aldrich posted a double-double as well, netting 10 points to go along with 13 boards.
Chris Singletary netted 13 points and nine rebounds for KSU (3-3), while Mike McKee posted 11 points. Rashad Woods and Anthony Simpson chipped in 10 points apiece in the loss.
Kansas shot 41.9 percent from the floor in the first half and went into the break with a commanding, 37-24 lead.
The Jayhawks used a sensational 24-of-26 showing from the foul line in the second stanza, en route to the 27-point win.
The Jayhawks scored 31 points off 20 Kent State turnovers, while the Golden Flashes posted just eight points off 10 Kansas miscues.
