Albuquerque, NM (Sports Network) - Max Hall threw for 315 yards and two touchdowns on 22-of-34 passing, as 22nd-ranked BYU edged New Mexico, 24-19, at University Stadium.
Dennis Pitta led the way with five receptions for 74 yards, while Luke Ashworth and Andrew George each registered a catch for a score for the Cougars (8-2, 5-1 MWC), who have won six of seven. Harvey Unga rushed for 48 yards on 12 carries, and Manase Tonga added a TD on the ground.
Donovan Porterie completed 29-of-44 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed for a score for the Lobos (0-10, 0-6), who extended their losing streak to 14 straight games.
Daryl Jones finished with eight catches for 95 yards and a TD, Victor James also added a receiving score and James Wright picked up 37 yards on seven carries in defeat.
