Recap: Texas vs. U-C-F

Austin, TX (Sports Network) - Colt McCoy threw for a career-high 470 yards with two touchdowns, leading second-ranked Texas to a 35-3 rout of UCF at Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
McCoy completed 33-of-42 passes, 11 of which went to Jordan Shipley, who finished with a school-record 273 yards receiving. McCoy's yardage total was three shy of Major Applewhite's school record of 473 set in the 2001 Holiday Bowl, while Shipley's total eclipsed Tony Jones' previous school mark of 242 yards set in the 1987 Bluebonnet Bowl.
Cody Johnson also rushed for a pair of scores for the Longhorns (9-0), who outgained UCF 537-151.
Jonathan Davis ran for 71 yards for UCF (5-4), which had won its last two games.
