Recap: Nashville vs. Florida

Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Martin Erat notched the lone goal of the shootout as Nashville clipped Florida, 3-2, at Sommet Center.
On Nashville's third chance, Erat stuck a wrister by Panthers goaltender Craig Anderson. Rostislav Olesz had an opportunity to keep Florida going, but Predators netminder Pekka Rinne foiled his backhander to end the game.
Erat also scored in regulation as did Shea Weber for the Predators, who have won three of their last four. Rinne stopped 24 shots through overtime.
Karlis Skrastins and Olesz scored for the Panthers, who lost for the third consecutive time. Anderson was solid in defeat, making 30 saves.
The clubs were tied 1-1 after 20 minutes of play thanks to goals scored 63 seconds apart. Weber's power-play goal at 16:29 put Nashville ahead before Olesz netted the equalizer at 17:32.
Skrastins put the Panthers ahead at the 11:15 mark of the second but Erat answered for the Preds midway through the third.
