If you notice that could you message one of the mods?  We're trying to make sure people know about tagging correctly.

We're receiving lots of applications and as we improve the team pages we'll be sending out messages and bringing more people in.

To apply, just go to the Homepage, and at the top left in the "My Teams" module, you'll see at the bottom "Community". There you will see the top fans of your favorite team - at the left of those is a button to apply to be that team's leader :)

I have applied twice, and not even an acknowledgment

One way I know of is contributions. Adding polls, photos, quizzes, trivia, videos and articles for your favorite team will help. Another way is to be sure the content is tagged correctly. Also, when answering polls, use the pull down menu to select your favorite team.

Someone may go on a blitz and add a lot of content in a short period of time. If you notice a lot of content being added for your team, just hang back and wait. Then when they're done, go on your own spurt of adding quality stuff. It may work unless your team is one of the more popular ones.

For instance, I wouldn't attempt to mess around trying to be Dale Jr.'s #1 fan because I know there are a lot of Jr. fans here. So I might pick a lesser known driver. Same thing goes with NFL/NHL/NBA. Look at the fan pages and see how much activity there is.

For anyone who just wants to be #1 for ANYTHING...go to a fan page for a team with limited content or activity.

Very good question!!  I am so glad you asked that Robb!

You may NOT tag submissions with your teams unless they ARE relating to your teams.  IE.. You can NOT tag polls, trivia, quizzes, articles, blogs, yada yada as PADRES (as I would love to do*lol*) if they are about the stupid Arizona Snakes (ok Diamonbacks, I am a lil tiny bit prejudiced there ), or Lakers, etc.  You MUST tag for what the sumisstion relates.  Padres = Padres;  Chargers = Chargers;  MLB does not equal NBA

People found doing this will be warned, then it could possibly cause the removal of your account for cheating.  Sooooooo.............. don't do that!

There are some updates going on with all of the Team Pages. Once that is fully in place, then there will be more responses for Team Leaders. Your applications are there though, don't feel like you're being ignored.

That link took me to a hockey goalie quiz tagged as NHL, so I'm guessing the poll is now gone..?

#19 | 1515 days ago
