 Wish I could send them, however they would get a little runny!   My wife is a Book Reviewer though, and this is appearing on an on-line Zine. After it appears I will post the recipe! How's that! It's really easy and they are GREAT!!!

Lesa, I know Jim was drooling over YOU as his favorite Buckeye *giggle*    but OMG those look so good!  I haven't had any in AGES!  I so wish you could freeze and mail em, but the would end up being one BIG buckeye!  Hummm.. that might not be so bad either   Thanks for sharing & making me drool all over the place Jim!  I'll be waiting for you to sent me the site with the recipe!  Huggzzzzzzzzz you 2!!!

Here you go all you great Q-ers!  Lesa (Jim's wife) had Jimbo send me the recipe for her famous Buckeyes Recipe so here it is for you to try.  Please remember these are terribly wonderful and wickedly addictive...so use with caution!!!  *giggle*

BUCKEYES  (Here’s the one my mother (Lesa's mother) passed on to her daughters (all Ohio State fans).

2 sticks oleo (Some recipes say butter. I find the oleo keeps the peanut butter together better)
1 ½ cup peanut butter
3 cups powdered sugar

Mix together and roll into balls and dip in chocolate with a toothpick, leaving a little of the peanut butter showing. Mom melts the chocolate in a double boiler.

Chocolate mixture –
1/3 bar paraffin
1 2/2 c. chocolate chips
½ stick oleo

This gives a nice shiny color to the buckeyes, just like the nut. However, I do these the lazy way because I just can’t keep those peanut butter balls on a toothpick. I refrigerate the dough so it sets, and then roll the dough in balls, and dip them in Baker’s Dipping Chocolate, instead of using the chocolate mixture. They might not be quite as shiny, but the buckeyes are eaten just as quickly!
