Alabama (9-0), meanwhile, moved back into the No. 2 position it held for the first two weeks of BCS standings, thanks to a 24-15 victory over LSU on Saturday. The Tigers (7-2) occupy the eighth position in the standings.

The Crimson Tide's win Saturday clinched the SEC West Division and a matchup with East champ Florida in the conference title game, which figures to determine a national championship game participant.

Texas (9-0) dropped back down to third, but cruised past UCF, 35-3, on Saturday to remain in control of its destiny to reach the national championship game. The Longhorns hold a BCS average of .9234, with that number being computed by averaging the percentage totals of the Harris Interactive poll, USA Today poll and computer rankings.

TCU (9-0) moved up two spots to fourth with a BCS average of .8620, thanks to a 55-12 win over San Diego State, and has a tough contest this upcoming Saturday against Utah. The Horned Frogs and Utes (8-1), 16th in the BCS standings, both hold 5-0 records in the Mountain West Conference.

Cincinnati (9-0), which outgunned Connecticut on Saturday for a 47-45 victory, remained in fifth, while Boise State (9-0) moved up a position to sixth. The Broncos recorded a 45-35 win over Louisiana Tech on Friday.
