Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Chris Osgood stopped all 29 shots he faced to post his first shutout of the season and lead Detroit over Boston, 2-0, at Joe Louis Arena. Henrik Zetterberg and Tomas Holmstrom provided goals for the Red Wings, winners in three of their last four games. Tim Thomas made 24 saves in defeat for the Bruins, who have dropped two in a row without scoring a goal. On Sunday, Thomas allowed just one score but was outdueled by Henrik Lundqvist of the Rangers in a 1-0 setback.

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Ryan Malone scored the game-winning goal 2:21 into overtime to lift the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 2-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre. Vinny Lecavalier also scored for the Lightning, who halted a two-game skid and earned their first road win of the season. Antero Niittymaki was stellar with 40 saves in the winning effort. Ian White tallied the lone goal for the Maple Leafs, who remained winless at home in six tries (0-4-2) in 2009-10.

Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - Colby Armstrong's goal late in the third period and 34 saves from Ondrej Pavelec staked Atlanta to a 5-4 victory over Montreal at Bell Centre. Rich Peverley recorded a goal and two assists for the Thrashers, who have won two in a row, both on the road, since losing four straight. Bryan Little added a goal and one helper, while Pavel Kubina notched his first goal of the season for Atlanta. Brian Gionta scored twice with Mike Cammalleri and Tomas Plekanec tallying once for the Canadiens, whose rally from a 3-1 deficit fell short for a third loss in four games. Carey Price allowed all five goals on just 30 shots.
