Zach Parise and Mike Mottau also tallied, while Jamie Langenbrunner recorded two assists for the Devils, who have won three straight and 11 of their last 14 games overall. In the fourth round after Anton Stralman missed on his chance, Lundmark skated in on net and beat Steve Mason with a wrist shot to the right side for the win. Olli Jokinen had a goal and an assist while Nigel Dawes and Dustin Boyd each had a goal for the Flames, who have won four of their last five. Curtis McElhinney made 29 saves in the win. Rick Nash, Jared Boll and Marc Methot each had a goal for the Blue Jackets, who have dropped a season-high five straight games. Mason made 29 saves in the loss.

Buffalo, NY (Sports Network) - Clarke MacArthur scored the eventual game- winning goal in the third, and the Buffalo Sabres became the second team in as many games to score five third-period goals against the Hurricanes in a 5-1 win at HSBC Arena. Carolina, which led 1-0 after two periods Saturday, had a 4-1 advantage against Atlanta on Friday before allowing five tallies in the final stanza to lose, 6-4. Derek Roy, Thomas Vanek and Jochen Hecht each had a goal and an assist for the Sabres, who have won two straight following an 0-3-1 stretch. Michael Grier also scored, while Ryan Miller made 30 saves to move to 14-4-2 this season. Matt Cullen scored the only goal for the Hurricanes, who have lost four in a row and stand last in the NHL with 15 points. Michael Leighton allowed all five goals on 24 shots for Carolina, which remains the only team in the league without a road win (0-10-3).

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Johan Hedberg stopped 34 shots to record his first shutout of the season, as Atlanta snapped a 14-game losing streak against Philadelphia with a 1-0 triumph at Philips Arena. Rich Peverley provided the lone goal for the Thrashers, who hadn't beaten Philly since a 6-5 overtime decision on November 18, 2005. Atlanta, which has won three in a row overall, also posted its first home win over the Flyers since December 21, 2003. Brian Boucher made 17 saves in defeat for the Flyers, who have dropped five of their last six games. Philadelphia hadn't been held scoreless in a game since March 1 at New Jersey.

Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - Nicklas Backstrom scored the lone goal in the shootout to give Washington a 4-3 victory over Montreal at Bell Centre. After each of the first five attempts were thwarted by the goaltenders, Backstrom calmly reached back and snapped off a quick shot over Carey Price's blocker to end the game. Eric Fehr tallied twice, including the game-tying goal with 11.4 seconds left in regulation to force extra time and allow Washington a second straight win. Alex Ovechkin scored his 18th goal of the season and added an assist, while Semyon Varlamov made 21 saves for the win. Jaroslav Spacek had a goal and an assist with Travis Moen and Tomas Plekanec also picking up scores for the Canadiens, who have lost three of four. Price had 20 saves.

Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Michael Ryder scored the game-winning goal in the fourth round of the shootout, as the Boston Bruins scored three power-play goals to defeat the Ottawa Senators, 4-3, in a Northeast Division clash at TD Garden. After the first three rounds of the shootout went scoreless, Ryder skated towards the net and fired a wrister under the crossbar. Tim Thomas sealed the victory when he stopped Mike Fisher's backhander. Ryder also scored during regulation for the Bruins, who went 3-for-5 on the power play. David Krejci and Dennis Wideman each had a goal and an assist for Boston, which has won five of six. Thomas stopped 19-of-22 shots in his return to the lineup after missing six games due to an undisclosed injury.

Evgeni Malkin had a goal and one assist for the Penguins, who have won four of five and posted a season-best for goals in a game. Mark Eaton, Pascal Dupuis, Maxime Talbot and Tyler Kennedy also scored while Marc-Andre Fleury got the win with 22 saves. Marc Staal, Matt Gilroy and Michal Rozsival tallied for the Rangers, who slid to their fourth loss in six games. Stephen Valiquette was left in for all eight goals on 33 shots in the loss, the second-most scores he's surrendered in his pro career.
