Sorry I've been out of action for the past several weeks.  I underwent total knee replacement on Oct. 21, 2009 and was subsequently released to a rehab facility on Oct. 24 (during the fourth quarter of the Minnesota game ).  Because of possible infection at the surgical site, within less than 36 hours I was returned to the Grant Hospital Bone and Joint Center, re-operated Oct. 28 and returned to the rehab facility on Oct. 30 (the day before we blew out New Mexico State, 45-0 ).  I was just released from rehab yesterday, Nov. 27, so I'm back in action, albeit with a stiff knee needing more physical therapy  on an outpatient basis.

I'm really looking forward to Jan. 1, 2010, when we play in the Rose Bowl again for the first time in 13 years and show either Oregon or Oregon State who's boss!
