Lakers should win. Oden should have a double-double, maybe even a triple double with 10+ blocks as Lakers will challenge him inside.

1. Los Angeles Lakers [10-14]  2. Portland Trail Blazers [5-9]  3. Los Angeles Lakers [3-5]  4. Portland Trail Blazers [3-4]  5. Los Angeles Lakers  6. Portland Trail Blazers  7. Los Angeles Lakers [+1-10%]  8. Portland Trail Blazers

+5 thumbs up10 blocks, that's really bold for a first game. Remember, this guy is coming off a full season layoff. He may be hungry, but he ain't Superman (and I'm not talking about Dwight Howard here).

+2 thumbs up

That's why I listed as a maybe.  This guy will feast on defense because of his skills and also because most teams in the league do not have a dominating big man inside.

+4 thumbs upI wouldn't be so fixed on Oden's defense just yet, folks. He's going to be squaring off with Gasol, Bynum, and Odom in the paint. This is his first MAJOR challenge [besides Duncan, Shaq, and KG]. You are judging his stats off of preseason match-ups. Yes, it is impressive what he did, however, when you play 2nd and 3rd strings in the preseason, you should put up big numbers as a promising player. When the games matter, and he plays the All-Stars down low, then you can make a fair judgment. He won't be swatting 10 shots, i guarantee it. 2 AT MOST.

Lakers will bring down their Western Conference Champions banner, welcome Oden into the Real NBA, and welcome the Blazers to an 0-1 start. LA wins at home by 9, 107-98.
1. Los Angeles Lakers [5-9]  2. Los Angeles Lakers [5-9]  3. Los Angeles Lakers [3-5]  4. Los Angeles Lakers [1-2]  5. Los Angeles Lakers  6. Los Angeles Lakers  7. Los Angeles Lakers [+1-10%]  8. Portland Trail Blazers
