My parents always have a HUGE barbecue with lots of booze and everyone comes over to watch the fireworks show that my Dad puts on (most of the neighborhood sit out on their sidewalk to watch) because my parents get a ton of illegal fireworks. They make one trip a year and they've been going to the same stand for years and years and they always get awesome deals. 1. Hanging with the family 2. Yes 3. HOT and sunny 4. Other 5. Sometimes 6. #2 \| 147 days ago vindog (+)	I do an annual 3rd of July Karaoke Party at my house and then usually attend one of many house parties on the 4th of July. this years 3rd of July Karaoke Jam features my house specialty Tropical Cheeseburgers and Beer Brats along with alot of different "House Shots"!! its fun as hell 1. Other 2. Yes 3. HOT and sunny 4. I get a little bit 5. Sometimes 6. LOVE them, I live for them 7. Other 8. Only on accident

#5 \| 147 days ago TerikaHarifa (+)	4th of July is a favorite holiday of mine because we always had so much fun when I was a kid. Has anyone seen a fireworks display by the Grucci's? I was spoiled by seeing them in CT and now everything else I see is....just not as spectacular. We did the same thing every year when I was a kid: We would go to KFC and get chicken, then we would stake out a spot at a park and watch the fireworks that they shot off from a barge on the Thames River in between Groton and New London. Many fond memories. When I lived in GA- the town did the fireworks display in a meadow above the store where I worked. We employees would rope off a section of the store's parking lot and reserve if for the friends and families of the employees. Last year's fireworks were cancelled because of the severe drought. And now that I live in a new state, I dunno what town does what. Plus I have to work until 8pm. 1. Other 2. If they have them where I am. 3. HOT and sunny 4. Other 5. Rarely 6. My family and I are supposed to be going to ohio but who knows we might just stay here and have a family cookout like every year, traffic is insane and gas is to much to be drivin that far for 1 day. 2. We'll BBQ both days with family and friends with the one on the 3rd being at the house and the one on the 4th at the lake. When it gets to dusk on the 4th, we'll pack up the party and drive to one of the towns around the area that has a fireworks display. 1. BBQ 2. Yes 3. HOT and rainy 4. It's illeagal, but I do... 5. #10 \| 146 days ago vlrhff (+)	+1 Our family rents a picnic spot at a park with a baseball diamond and a huge field. It's kind of like an old fashioned picnic with games, prizes and a TON of food. There's a family softball game, and for those who don't get into softball....there's always soccer. The entire family shows....usually about 50 people. Gotta love the Hoffia! (family nickname) 1. #12 \| 146 days ago Jess (+)	The only fireworks I really like are the ones that the counties put on that you can watch from the beach or whatever - I've had too many bad experience with personal fireworks. My daughter doesn't like them either, and she doesn't really even like the big "popping" of the big fireworks in the sky. I don't have any clue what I'm going to do. It's supposed to be chilly and cloudy, and my husband's working so to be honest with you I'm not all that into it this year. I miss the days when I lived where everyone was way into it and we drove out on the beach hours and hours in advance and hung out there all day and night, capping it off with the show that the city put on. 1.
