Wyoming & Montana ? In order to recieve an expansion team, a metropolitan area must consist of over 1 million people. These two states combined dont even have that much.

+4 thumbs upI think the talent is spread thin enough with 32 teams.  If players like Rex Grossman are starting within a 32 team system, do we really want to expand?

32 is too many.  Quality of play is already off.

One way or another and whether I like it or not, The NFL will get L.A. another team to lose.  Memphis would be the logical choice to bring in along with a L.A. expansion team (Memphis has the same problem as Vegas as there is gambling minutes away in Mississippi and Arkansas).

The system they have now is perfect.  You play one Conference division, one Non Conference Division, and the team that finished in the same place as you in the other 2 divisions.  If they get a Vegas, Portland, or LA team, get rid of Arizona.

+2 thumbs upI think the 50 players plus the coaching staff would equal 1/2 the population of those states.

I'm not really saying anything bad about Rex,  just those that would be one step below him in the talent pool...LOL

I think the talent is there they just get away with slacking off when they want to and the money is still there. The smart ones play where the ring is so they kind of unbalance the game. Oh I forgot the salary cap prevents that so I guess the Patriots and the Colts have some   FREE  TALENT!

+1 thumbs upI don't think 34 would hurt...there are a lot of places what would like to spend their hard-earned money on some more starving athletes!

+1 thumbs up32 is too many. Already there are teams that cant even sell out PLAYOFF games. Lets try and get teams into markets that will support them first before trying to dilute that talent base even more. Personally the league was better with only 28 teams

Glad to see most peoples agreeing here. Although a small sample. To move teams from weak markets is fine but STAY OUT OF CANADA! The Bills have a deal to play a few games in Toronto. But to move there would virtually kill the CFL, a league with a 100 yr history. With the demise of NFL Europe the CFL will act more as a developmental league than ever and can have a symbiotic relationship with the NFL

Mostly, I would just like to see each division have 5 teams.   It seems like a stretch, but if there were 40 teams 50 years from now, would that really be a surprise?  And maybe they'd have uniforms like they did in Starship Troopers!

L.A. should get a team.  then vegas, portland...how about oklahoma?  they support the sooners and the cowboys in college, why not a pro team?  for that matter, L.A. could get 2 teams.

LA is about to get one. SD and the city are so far apart, plus the Chargers can leave in Jan 2009. So it looks like LA is gonna get a team if they want one or not. Ed Roski (the guy building the stadium in the City of Commerce in LA)  and Alex Spanos are pals.

Looks like it could be a third team. The Chargers can opt out and move as soon as Jan of 2009. Remember this Alex Spano and Ed Roski are good friends. As a Bronco fan living here in SD, I dont want them to go. Because as soon as SD reverts to their normal suckiness I can get great tickets for the Bronco/Charger game. The only thing with them moving to the City of Commerce in LA is I will have to travel farther
