+1 thumbs upI think birthdays are for older relatives and kids.  I know this will never fly. But I would prefer to be like 1 couple who did not give gifts and saved money for an Hawaiian Vacation. Also true meaning of Christmas is being lost.. Unlike what this sounds like I can not  or have hard time ever turning wife dowm.

+7 thumbs upOf course I like to receive gifts, to know that someone thought enough of me to go to the trouble of choosing something they think I would like is the greatest part of any gift no matter what it is.  I also love to give gifts, I love when I see something and it makes me think of someone I know and the person would enjoy it and it would make them happy.  Sometimes it's just something silly that will make them laugh, sometimes it's something that may touch their heart in a special way.  It's the feelings a gift brings to someone that is the true meaning of it all.

+2 thumbs upWhat can I say? I'm greedy. I have a tough enough time giving a let alone buying a gift for someone.

If you want to send me gifts, I will give you an address to send it to!

+3 thumbs upNo controversy here, eh ladies? Just throw that little trinket our way and we give 'em what they want...

That was a beautiful statement of loving unselfishness.

+2 thumbs upIf your going to give, why not think if the person will enjoy/use it.  Thats just me or else it would be a waste of your time and money.  Who would use an old man playing golf statue?

Dont get me wrong, I think everyone likes to receive gifts....even if they dont want to admit it or not.  My preference is to give a gift rather then receive one.  Nothing makes me more happy then to give someone a gift and see there reaction and/or hear the excitement in there voice.
