Does Def Leppard still got it?

In April 2008 Def Leppard released thier new cd "Songs from the Sparkle Lounge"

So what do you think, do they still have it or are they washed up?

That's why I created this poll, to hear everyone's opinions and you are certainly entittled to yours, but I beg to differ!

Def Leppard became one of the top selling rock bands throughout the 1980s, selling over 65 million albums worldwide. Must have had it with somebody!

Asking the question "Do the still have it?" would imply that they had it in the first place.

There's quite a few Def Leppard songs I like, but on the whole, I don't think they were that great.

+4 thumbs upYeah, but it was too good a comment not to post.  Kinda a fishing for thumbs up kinda comment.

Besides, the 80's was a very confusing era.

+3 thumbs upWell, if they are all washed up and still got it, I think the next step is to find a good family physician.

+5 thumbs upI lived for Def Leppard in the 80's but in the past 20 years, the music I listen to now has done a complete 180. If I heard them again, they wouldn't be the same. Thay haven't been the same since the death of Steve.

+2 thumbs upI used to really like "Pour Some Sugar On Me" (one time my brother was sunbathing in the backyard singing that as he listened to it on his Walkman, so I obliged him by dumping a bowl of sugar on him).  But ever since "Coyote Ugly" came out, it's surged it's way back to consistent radio play, and is going the way of "Sweet Home Alabama".

Another thing ruining it for me is the woman who were hot dancing to this in the 80s rn't so hot now when they sing it for karaoke.

+3 thumbs upI agree, my son (25) like's em and my daughter (27) went with me to their concert last summer in KC and raved about them. They like the new rock bands too, but also like and appreciate where the rock & roll has come form and the bands I grew up with! Steph (my daughter) and I will attend 311 this Thursday night & in Sept. we are going to Journey, Heart, & Cheap Trick.
