Eliminating Myths Of Ninjutsu Poll #1
I've been training and practicing Iga style ninjutsu for over 23 years (since I was 9 years old) and I'm fed up with all the bullshit those ignorant people that just LOVE to post their "ninja-hatin'" web pages that are totally full of lies. Therefore, I've chosen to post this movie on my profile to usher in a new era. I hate stupid people! I hate 'em! As for those that have a lot of questions about us ninja and aren't fooled by those foolish ninja haters, you will be wonderfully blessed by the exposure of the truth about us and the myths will leave your head.

I'm a current practitioner of Ku Ryuu Tonjutsu, and the idea that ninja are evil is insulting. The ninja of fudal Japan and imperial China were commissioned with jobs that more often than not had nothing to do with assassination. There were intel agents before they were assassins.

I agree about everything. i wish there was some way to get that across to those idiots that don't know what they're talking about. Why they hate us so much just doesn't add up right. There's no reasonable basis for their hate unless they are evil themselves. That's the only thing I can think of. Nicely commented, Jason! I like how you think.

Evil, friendly and calm are relative. It would depend on the individual don't you think? Bow if you had asked what Ninja should strive for that would be a different matter.

Good and evil all depend on the individual and their level of corruption. Being a practitioner of a little- known school of karate (Karatedo Doshinkan) I understand the discipline it requires. As ninjas are subjected to similar training, though much more intense, I think that ninjutsu is simply a martial art, and therefore cannot be evil. An evil ninja is most likely evil from the very beginning.

Didn't I see you on youtube demonstrating the "judychop" & the "kung fu kick"; of  course not at the same time, "cause there ain't much call for a one legged ninja". On a more serious note, your years of training have apparently not taught you how to speak in a respectful manner to others, or at least to be able to take a joke. My thought is that that doesn't speak too well of your particular brand of ninjitsu. My Sensei have taught me that "the way we behave toward others reflects more strongly on them as teachers than what is done in actual combat".

It used to be like that several hundred years ago. Now, everything has been modernized. In fact our grandmaster wrote a book and he said that our primary function in this world is to "subtly, stealthfully encourage things the way they're supposed to be." I got that from his book, "Ninjutsu: History and Tradition". We don't particularly condone evil in any way. We are encouraged to have a conscience.

1) I am in fact no where near you, nor do I have any desire to be. 2) If a good natured jibe can cause such a reaction from you maybe spending time on a psychotherapist's couch might be a more profitable way for you to spend your time, rather  than on a sports website for people who enjoy discussion, humor, & debate. 3) If your style of ninjitsu includes any meditation techniques they might benefit you & help you overcome your infantile emotional fragility. 4) In addition to the aforementioned: a conditioning program might also be of benefit to you from the looks of your profile picture! ..... Lastly; I'm not truly a perfectionist, but since you want to bandy words with me, I'll just point out that you're last comment should have been rendered " And may we ninja live forever".    P.S.  Please don't hurt my virtual self with your big bad malware program ..... Brainiac !  P.P.S.    I checked out your profile & couldn't help noticing your " favorite Player/Practitioner" is Sho Kosugi.  Sho Kosugi is an actor and former All Japan Karate champion. His training began at age five in Karate & then expanded to include Judo & Kendo (sport versions of Ken Jutsu & Ju Jutsu) . I understand he gained fame by playing a ninja in fantasy movies but that was not his actual martial arts background. If you, with all your supposed "ninja knowledge" didn't know that I wonder what other bits of your understanding have come from the realms of fantasy? Did you, for instance learn much of what you know from that great instructional movie; Beverly Hills Ninja?  I mean really sir, 5 feet 9 inches & you weigh 300 pounds? .... Did you stunt double for Chris Farley or what?  Oh, & by the way, Where is this great video of ninja wisdom you referred to that's supposed to be on your profile? Couldn't figure how to post it, or was it just another fantasy like the other claims you make?  If this all seems a little harsh, then maybe you'll think better of it the next time you feel like referring to someone you don't know as a fool.

ooookay. Clearly there is a conversation "not in the main thread" going on, because I don't see what johnsward66 is talking about. But thats okay!  I'm just as happy missing this one. (not a fan of flame wars).  I think if we say that there is no ninja magic we might be missing the spiritual boat here.  After all, there is "intentional" magic and it works every day day in , day out.  When you line up your intentions with what you say you want to accomplish and you act in accord, you get things done.  Sure its not major wizard stuff, but its part of training the mind and spirit which ought to be in alignment if you are to have success.  Same thing with meditation which has been shown to be able to produce amazing measurable effects.  (like lower blood pressure, greater ability to concentrate, lower food consumption/greater energy).

When they have missions to accomplish or someone pisses them off, yes. The ninja are trained to fight with the combination of strength, speed, efficiency, cunning and mind control. The reason why you haven't seen us practice is because we train in places where it is difficult for crowds to form. We need as much silence as we can get to maintain total focus on our training or we'll get hurt. Thanks for the questions! They exercised my brain a little and brought back memories of past trainings.

You're right, Mickey_Makulet. johnsward66 thinks his big words and excessive foolish talk will get him the Nobel Peace Prize for talking smack about a guy he knows nothing about and talking too much at that. Anyway, enough about doorknobs. You're right about everything having to be in alignment. That's why I haven't continued my physical training yet. My back injury prevents me from doing so and until I get surgery done, I can't do anything about it except maintaining my weight under 300 lbs. . I'm at 291 right now and walking around with good shoes on and a walking stick is the only exercise I can do. Thanks for being cool about this! I've had enough persecution from johnward66.

Cool, PoppyMack! A lot of people wished they started ninja training when they were young. Ninjutsu isn't for everyone, though. It's not easy going through the training process. Bones are broken, appendages are nearly severed, blood is drawn (mostly, it's the student's) and deaths have mistakenly happened. Sorrow visits the ryu (school) occasionally. It comes with the training. You must be willing to take risks and accept whatever comes your way.

Listen you fat toad, you are the one who threw the first stone with your "fool" remark; I make one off-hand joke & you insult me. Just because I don't let delusional lunatics such as yourself besmirch me without a parry & counter of my own doesn't make me a "persecutor." Now you dare to make threats about " My revenge will be exacted though someone else. All I get to do is wait and hear about it like it always happens to people like you. And I won't ever have to lift a finger. Life is gonna kill you! "   I think I'm not the one who has reason to be worried about being kicked off of the Q.           By the way, there is one exercise that you can do while awaiting back surgery that will be of benefit.... it's called the "push-away". It's where you push yourself away from the table while at the same time closing your mouth !  This would also benefit you with regard to me. Keep your insults to yourself & no one feels like insulting you back.  Lastly, when you used the term "Ninja hating ways" I wonder if it's just that people don't like you and you are projecting that animosity on to "All Ninjas?"
