FanIQ Series Prediction Poll - St. Louis Cardinals vs. Philadelphia Phillies (7/8-7/10)
With the All-Star break a week away, the Cardinals hit the road for a 6 game road trip. First up, a visit to the city of brotherly love to take on the NL East leading Philadelphia Phillies. The Cardinals are coming off a homestand where they had a chance to cut into the deficit in the NL Central. Instead, they failed and continue to find themselves 3.5 games behind the front running Chicago Cubs. The Cardinals have been one of the better road teams in baseball and will have to find a way to get some wins in order to keep pace with both the Cubs and the Milwaukee Brewers, who are neck and neck with the Cardinals for 2nd place in the division.
The Phillies are ontop in the NL East and are coming off a series at home with the NY Mets. They are 15-11 against the NL Central this season and winners of 6 out of there last 10 overall. With the Mets only a handful of games behind them, the Phillies will be looking to try and distance themselves from the rest of the division at the Cardinals expense. Can the Cardinals rebound after a disappointing homestand or will the Phillies flex there muscle again against the Cardinals.
