First! Boom!

Y'day I woke up singing She Will Be Loved in my head, and I think I was singing it in my sleep before I got up. This morning, it was Payphone. I gotta say, I don't mind waking up with Adam. Speaking of, I was quite sad that he had to eliminate anyone from his team. I liked them all. I need to catch up AHS but I'll be watching horror movies all night.

Happy Halloween, dorks.

the swinging balls under the chins of the heat had me tickled last night. looked like truckticles for your face

tonight's plans include watching scary movies, snuggling and eating the sixlets i'd actually gotten for the neighborhood kiddos, but they can go eff themselves. kids these days don't properly appreciate sixlets.

and then there's this:

Happy Halloween!

My school costume idea is a no go. My chance to go as a Stanley Cup gonefrown. Fricken bowl would not stay on top of my head, and I'm pretty sure the body I patched together would have came apart in the car ride to school. I am forced to go with plan B.

Made these for the kiddos and other teachers though.

Oh...and this is pretty good.

Top Ten Reasons Why Trick-or-Treating is Better Than Sex

10. You are guaranteed to get at least a little something in the sack.

9. If you get tired, wait ten minutes and go back at it again.

8. The stranger you look, the easier it is to get some.

7. You don't have to compliment the person who gave it to you.

6. Person you are with doesn't fantasize you're someone else, you already are.

5. If you get a stomach ache, it won't last nine months.

4. If you wear leather and chains, no one thinks you're kinky.

3. Doesn't matter if kids hear you moaning and groaning.

2. Less guilt the next morning from over-indulging.

1. If you don't get what you want at one place, you can always go next door to get more!

Qrs, Happy Halloween! I'm spending the day in bed (im sicker than a gnat) and I have to take two little boys trick or treating tonight. I'm a little sad, they chose non matching costumes this year: Jack is a pirate, Joshua is a doctor. I knew it would happen, just had hoped they would of waited another couple of Years. I don't know yet if I will dress up or not, game time decision. Have a safe, awesome day/evening! PEACE

Jason today is Halloween not St Patty's Day!

Happy Encouraging your kids to take candy from strangers Day!

Gonna head to the bar from about 5 till 9, I am going to put an empty bowl on the front proch, with a sign above it that reads. "Take one, please be honest and take only one. If the bowl is empty then the people who showed up before you were not honest, Sorry!"

I don't have occasion appropriate underwear so I'm wearing Xmas ones. I have received most other days (including turkey ones?) but no pumpkin ones.

In other weird news I gave my cuz and one of her friends a little primer on reddit, 4chan, annonymous, memes, 9gag, etc. last night because they were doing a piece on something semi related and had no idea wtf was going on. They also didn't want to look like old morons in front of the younger people they work with, lol. Obviously they were NOT ready for some of it. I wish I would have made one of those 'reaction' videos for YouTube.

Long story longer, I think our glorious leader Jess-bot is a Redditor.

Ohh, can't anybody see
We've got a war to fight
Never found our way
Regardless of what they say

How can it feel, this wrong
From this moment
How can it feel, this wrong

Storm.. in the morning light
I feel
No more can I say
Frozen to myself

I got nobody on my side
And surely that ain't right
And surely that ain't right

Ohh, can't anybody see
We've got a war to fight
Never found our way
Regardless of what they say

How can it feel, this wrong

Happy Halloween!  It's still raining and trick or treat inside Pittsburgh's city limits has been postponed until Saturday night.  The Pirates got a few treats though.  Andrew McCutchen won his first gold glove award last night, and just a couple hours ago, they (Bucs) announced their new hitting coach...welcome back, Jay Bell!  I'm heading out to the karaoke/costume party tonight, I want to win this damn contest!  Everybody have fun tonight, everybody wang chung tonight!

Tell that to the people in the mountains in WV & MD who got 2 feet of snow dumped on them thanks to Sandy.

Sure you can, if the storm is going to be winter-esque, then you would need to warn people about it. Especially in the fall when people are probably not expecting a winter storm. In fact if would make far less sense to warn people about a winter storm in the winter, should they not expect winter storms in the winter? When you stop and think about it, it makes perfect sense.

They know, but snow is winter weather.  Mother Nature has her seasons slightly jumbled.  You'll have to forgive her, she's pretty old. So since she doesn't realize it's still fall, they had to issue a winter storm warning.

Actual email today at work (paraphrased): The air conditioning was turned off today. We do not when the heat will be turned on.

Rest assured those of you who think government workers are the scum of the earth. They are trying to cull the ranks by attempting to freeze us to death.

The #1 problem with Halloween? The fact that it means the damn holidays start tomorrow. Bah. As a result, I will probably be grumpy (ok, grumpier) the next two months.

A few scattered sports thoughts rolling in my brain delayed due to waiting for Sandy/dealing with Sandy/becoming Public Enemy #1 on FanIQ because of words related to Sandy:
  • Baseball ended pretty quickly didn't it. Stupid Tigers for scoring 6 runs in 4 games.
  • The Orioles revival I'm guessing had a lot to do with this, but I have to face facts: Baseball is now my #2 favorite sport, overtaking football. And given by #1 sport is imploding again...
  • So, what would you think of a sport that fired its CEO, who despite some missteps was popular with your fans (i.e. your customers) and didn't give a reason why or give any indication there's a plan in place? I'm guessing not much. If you've deduced that because you haven't heard of this before, and it's me talking, that this is exactly what IndyCar did this week, you are correct!
  • Irony of ironies, as IndyCar makes me reevaluate my future involvement, my Indy 500 plans for next year came together, both tickets and hotel. We'll wait and see if this is a last hurrah for me.
  • I'm strangely excited for the NBA season. I'm particularly excited for cheap Wizards tickets. I especially want to go to games where former Wizards are playing. I miss the JaVale McGee Experience.

The JaVale McGee Experience deserves it's own 30 for 30. His twitter feed deserves one too. Hell, his Mom's twitter needs a segment on E:60 or Real Sports. Big Daddy Wookie is fantastic! His basketball I.Q. on the other hand...

I am with you on the problem with Halloween. That and the fact that a Master Gunnery Sergeant who was more like a father to me than the sperm donor who created me and my step-father combined died while jogging when we were both in Okinawa, Japan.  Bad memories. And then comes the 3rd anniversary of my mom's death (today) just 4 days after. So forget grumpy or anything else come holiday time; this is more like how I feel:
