This rivalry will always be around.  The only reason it hasn't drawn headlines recently is because the Yankees are stinking it up.  But just wait until they play each other again, and it will start right back up.

+2 thumbs upSays the Red Sox fan.

What you don't realize in your NE cocoon is that the rest of the country doesn't care.  In fact, many have grown to hate both teams because ESPN and FOX keep shoving them down the country's throat.

Ohio is in the eastern time zone.  That's east to the rest of us.  Ohio is in the northern half of the eastern time zone.  That makes it part of the northeast.

You do indeed care.  But you are in the extreme minority away from New England and the tri-state area.

No need to yell.

+2 thumbs upIt has lost a little for us Bostonians, because believe it or not once the Dead sox beat the Yanks, I think alot of us Bostonians didn't hate them as much, see Boston fans used to be loved like Cubs fans, now we have become very arragant and I can understand why most of country  hates ALL BOSTON FANS, which is sad because there are a lot of really loyal fans that respect other cities its just that you only hear from the yahoo's out there that really do not even know the game, they are just liquored up idiots

1 great game. big whoop. it isnt a bit deal 2 me EXCEPT late in the season when something is actually on the line! instead of playing eachother so many times during the already really long season. come late in the season and play-offs, the rivalry seems to get better, but these games at the beginning of the season, i dont think as much about. it still is cool that the rivalry is still as big as it is though, i dont have anything against it. i'm just saying, early in the season....... its different 4 me

+1 thumbs upThat rivalry COULD have been something had those two teams been in a race lately.  Especially down the stretch in '04 and '05.  Those two teams battling for the division title would have been awesome.  But, MLB decided to make those game 100% worthless by letting BOTH teams in the post season.  Thus completely eliminating the all drama and urgency from their final games in September.

Impossible.  I have made no such rants.

What I have said is 100% factual.  And competely appropriate to the subject in this thread.  Sorry that you have issues with comments that remain on topic.  Perhaps you could simply insert a link to something where you are ranting about people who stay on topic in threads?
