How do you enjoy your Friends?
We all have Good Friends that we love to spend time with. Some friends we mostly talk to in person, some mostly on the phone, and some mainly on the PC. I think we can all agree that it is always best to spend time with them rather than phone/PC conversations. How do you like to spend that time with your friends???

I have little kids, so socializing isn't what it used to be.

Mostly I go with friends to sporting events, and occasionally have parties or other gatherings to get together, usually sports related if it isn't something to do with the kids.

I love tailgating with all of my friends. I am fortunate to be able to do this like 10 times a year. I have had season tickets for multiple Sporting Events, so Tailgating has become a way of Life. Give me a GRILL, a Cooler full of Adult Beverages, and Some Great Friends, and I could be happy all day. The fact that there is entertainment on top of that is the Bonus Plan. So I hope to see all of you at a TAILGATE NEAR YOU.........

I have different kinds of friends that like different kinds of things..
So depending on my mood depends on who I hang out with..  If I feel like having fun.. we will have dinner, drinks, dancing, lots of laughs..
If I feel like being good.. Some of us will go out to dinner and a movie..  Which usually ends up me caling other friends to go out and have drinks.. then the fun begins..
Some friends like to go to games.. SO I go.. Have LOTS of fun
Some friends that will keep me at home.. which I really dont call on them to often...LOL

Now that my kids are getting older (youngest is 12) and recently divorced, socializing is changing for me again.  The younger two kids (12 and 13) still are involved in sports so some socializing happens on the sidelines at games or team functions.  I now have a bunch of people that are at a similar point in life as I am (divorced etc.) that we gather for fun times and that usually includes cookouts and adult beverages...... within that group of friends, I also get the opportunity to go to social events......

With two children, work and taking care of a sick mom my time is very limited!  Right now it is mostly phone conversations or Instant Messenger.

Nothing like a day being with friends. Usually its come one come all and bring another friend. Every one brings their favorite dish and we cook ribs, burgers or whatever we can afford. Build a fire play guitars, sing and laugh at the kids. Some like beer some like Margarita's and we all have a good time. Karaoke is hilarious! We may be short on money these days but never short on laughs.

My local friends are mostly Steelers fans! I have met more people through our fan club than any other means! It makes for easy conversation and a lot of fun! I'm close enough to some of them that we even hang out in the off-season!

I'm married, I have four kids at home, one with special needs, and 135 at school. I'm at school, working, five days a week; I arrive by 7:45, usually, and leave usually not before 5. I take work home with me, grading, planning, etc. which I work on every evening and then a good part of Saturday and Sunday (or should, anyway). What free time I have (or time I waste) is spent right here on this computer, most of it on this site. On top of all that, I tried to start grad school again this summer (dumb).

What all this means is... I have no life! My family and my work are my life, pretty much. We have friends, but most of them are not in this state. We both know people from work we call friends, but only once in a great awhile do we (together or separately) get together with them outside of work. I play basketball with a group consisting of my principal, principals from some other nearby school, another teacher I work with, the husband of another of our teachers, etc. every Friday, and that's the social highlight of the week. In fact, because of conflicting events we haven't been able to play the last couple of weeks, and we're all grumpy about it.

Honestly, the Q is my primary social outlet these days, and I think Facebook is for my wife, and it does get a tad lonely at times. I do very much enjoy hanging out with friends, at the bar watching games, at a barbeque, what have you. I'm not quite a recluse but I'm not an extrovert either, so I would like to have that social time just occasionally. So, if you are in the Denver area or are ever coming to visit, let me know, we'll happily hang out with you.

For the second time, if I edited some of Jason's words I could just submit that.  But to be somewhat original, it's a small town where I live and I don't have that many friends. Some moved away, some got families now. I rarely drink and don't party at all so it's hard to find people to be around with.  Work takes most of my time and when I'm at home, I work on the house. I guess my friends are mostly my animals that I take care off. Like Jas, here is where I spend most of my online time and the wife spends hers on Facebook. I only know one person that likes video games as much as I do, and he might come over once in a blue moon but I just don't get to stay up late anymore like I used to.
But if anyone wants to visit the Great White North and meet Norton, my pig, there will be a big welcoming commitee.

Hey Les, the missus is always making remarks about moving to Canada (hockey freak) and when I told her about the comments on my trick-or-treating poll when you Canucks were talking about getting free shots at people's houses when going trick-or-treating, she's more sold on the idea than ever.  Thanks for concurring with much of what I said. It kind of makes me feel like a loser to share such info but c'est la vie.

I like a combo!

The best times I have are usually tailgating, camping at the track etc. I have friends all over the US and I get to see them 2-3 times a year, depending on everyone's finances and race prices. A lot of fun is in the planning and anticipation of seeing everyone again! I wouldn't trade those times for anything!
I also like having a houseful, it's so much more fun to cook for more than just me.
Sporting events are on my new agenda! I will see my Gators play next year!! And, I really hope to make it to a Bears game as well, preferably in Chicago( 4 of my very best friends are right in that area!)
I went to a concert recently with another Q member, and that was a lot of fun!
I treasure the phone time I have with my friends, and love my PC as well. Nothing better than waking up in the morning, and clicking before work, and seeing something from someone that makes me laugh. I start a lot more days off in a good mood because of this old Dell !

Yep, I am definitely a combo girl

We are a group of around 10 friends....all of us are working & having family with kids....it's not easy for us to move in a short notice....that's why we throw dinner parties one by one once a month at the week end....on saturdays & it goes for the whole night....indoor  & vidio games are arranged for the kids & drinks, singing, dancing etc. for us....we really enjoy the moment.

I am a listener, basically, have good friends, it is quality time with them, once or twice a week, in material world, sports, music and anything goes as the friendship is, in cyberworld, it is Q friends, with whom, exchanging views and thoughts is energizing the body, mind and soul.
