 The Cubs look good enough to make the playoffs. Most years that would leave Cub fans happy, but they are getting impatient. Red/Sox/White Sox championships, almost wining the pennant a few year's back, and last year's sputtering finish have ended the "wait 'til next year" mentality. Cub fans want to win NOW! MomsOnaCarousel gave one reason why they might not make it. Milton Bradley hasn't given us too much to get excited about (it's early, I know.). A great poll would be, "Are the Cubs a better team than they were last year?" If last year proves anything, getting to the playoffs is one thing; winning the playoffs is an entirely different thing.

 The Cubs just look out of sync this first half of the season. Too many individuals trying to do too much instead of just relaxing and playing ball as a team. It hasn't helped with all the injuries and untimely hitting so far.  But they still keep hanging around the weak National League Central race. If they can stay healthy and get the bats going the second half of the season it could be interesting.. Go Cubbies !!

Barring a miracle, I don't see THIS team making the playoffs this year.

If they do, I really don't see them making it to the WS or even winning it.

Too much inconsistency and injuries......but, anything is possible.
