I am a nice Adrian Peterson fan but I think he will not have as big a season as he did in his rookie season.  If you look at his rushing yards at the end of the year all of the yards he started getting in games went down.  He had 3 yards against the 49ers with 14 attempts.  What?!?!?!?!? He did so good at the beginning of the year because he is a rookie and no one really starts looking at rookies as big threats and then at the end of the year he was the person they were mainly looking to stop and they did stop him.  Even tough I belive he will not do as good, still look for some nice rushing yards and a good amount of TD's

+1 thumbs upI don't want to be one of those schmuck homer fans and say better.  I'd be happy with the same, but if the Vikings D takes that big step forward like a lot are predicting, I can see him(and Chester Taylor) getting a lot more carries to chew up the clock in the fourth quarter.

Don't get me wrong... I'll take better in a heartbeat, but I am still a Vikings fan so I'm not gonna get crazy here.

+1 thumbs upI'm saying better.  But mostly b/c he'll get more carries, and should play in more games.

I'd love to see this kid go out and get the 2,500 yards he capable of getting...I really think he could do that with the skills he has.  However, C. Taylor is very prone to injury and I'm afraid that Peterson will be OVER used and he'll end up either injured or leg weary by the mid-season or the end of the season.

I hope I'm wrong but....

I think it could go both ways. Call me a Homer I said Better. Last year towards the end of the year his numbers went down badly. In defense of that, anyone with a brain would know that when AD is in there, he is going to run. Defenses finally figured this out. Now if for some off the wall reason the Vikings can add the passing game, I think without a doubt he will have a better year and the numbers will only rise. Now with that being said, I do not see another 296yd game

I say a little worse. It's obvious that AP is a great runner and he exploded on the scene and surprised alot of teams, but towards the end of the season, teams started figuring out what AP could do and what Tavaris Jackson could not do. My Cowboys( for example) stacked 8-9 in the box everytime AP was on the field and dared Jackson to beat them with his arm- which he could not do! Dallas held AP in check for the most part and Minnesota was done! Unless Jackson gets alot better, I think you will see other teams employing that same tactic, and I really don't think that Jackson is going to get much better.

i dont think ap will do as good as he did last year because if you look at last weeks preseason
game against the steelers he said hw was having a lot harder time getting through the gaps
and into the open field like he did last year. i lika adrian peterson one of my faves but i just dont see
him being as good as he was last year.
