With the way things look now its a long shot to make the playoffs.  You have Beat me Billy blowing 3 consecutive saves and Hit me Heilmann whose confidence is lower than the dirt we step on.  Willie has absolute no fire power to give this team.  This team lacks a spark they had when they went to 97 games and won the eastern division only to lose game 7 of the NLCS in '06.  Other than that this team has picked up right where they left of in the last 2 weeks of September.  But lets not leave Minaya out of this either, Minaya got Santana, Church and Schneider, but we also have to blame him for not restocking the farm system retaining Delgado and Alou (great hitter but too too injury prone) and signing Castillo, El Duke, and Schoenweiss to all that money.  I call it now the Mets will finish under .500 and there is nothing us Met fans can say or do that will change anything.  Willie should of been fired after last years debacle period!!!!!!!!!

 If the Mets stay healthy they should win the NL East and compete with the cubs for the NL Championship.
