It only makes it obvious how young you are. Not only was Chuck Long the best QB Iowa ever had, he later became an assistant coach for Iowa and now is head coach at San Diego State.

Chuck Long starred at Iowa in the mid 80s and played in the NFL until 1990. He has been coaching since then.

+1 thumbs upLong finished 2nd by 45 votes in the '85 Heisman voting to a guy by the name of Bo Jackson...perhaps you've heard of him?  The '85 vote is still the closest Heisman voting in history...the guy was good.  Leading passer in conference history though I think Drew Brees might have passed him...not sure on that though.

DREW BREES, iver heard of him!!!!  He's my favorite!!! haha, and I know of Bo Jackson too. But still no Chuck Long.
