+6 thumbs upI think it could be a fantastic move, especially if they move him to quarterback, he's gotta to be better than anything else they have.

+1 thumbs upJones is a pretty good back if he can stay healthy- besides, who else do they got besides an un-proven Rookie after releasing Benson?

+1 thumbs upThe Bears are one of the few teams in the league with a big running back issue in getting rid of Thomas Jones last year and releasing Cedric Benson on arrest charges. Kevin Jones will hlp that running back position for the Bears alot but dont look for any Pro Bowl performances. Just look for an average fantasy running back who should slowly becaome better throughout the years

+3 thumbs upThey still have Peterson who can give them roughly 8-10 carries...he isn't a 1st tier back but he does have some skills.  Now with Jones and Forte to split up about 30-35 carries a game I'm a bit happier with the Bears but still...ARGH.  My beloved Bears are killing me....45 years as a fan and they are killing me.......

I REALLY like the move.     First, Forte is a rookie, and should learn something at least from Jones.    Next, Jones can be productive, especially when he's not an every-down back.     His injury history would suggest / prove that.     Jones signed a 1-year contract, so Forte will be ready next year to be the #1 RB.   And you still have the 'change of pace' backs in Peterson as well as Wolfe too.

Let's face it gang.....or at least Bears fans......the more successful we are with the running game.......the less sexy Rexy has to drop back & float up another one into the secondary !!!

He will rush for at least 550 yards & score 9 TD's in his 2 games against the Lions! Its a good move for DA' Bears.

+3 thumbs upGood move. Any addition of a good player can't hurt Da Bears. Just keep Grossman off the field!

Jones is a good hard runner, the Lions offensive line absolutely blows.  If the Bears have any line at all he will gain 700-1000 yards for them this season.

it was an extremely low risk-high reward move. when healthy, jones is a pretty darn good back. The bears are not betting everything on him, so if it doesnt pan out, we are still ok. the best part is the fact that he signed for the league minimum salary. so we arent paying him that much and the fact that he signed for the minimum shows that he is just looking to get back on the field and prove himself for everyone... i like running backs playing with a chip on their shoulder.
