It's Over Already?!

For some of us, summer is still hanging out - school hasn't started yet and we're trying to sneak that last camping trip in...trying to enjoy the last of the long days and warm nights (ok maybe not warm nights for those of us who live on the west coast)...or maybe it's not over yet and you're counting the days for reasons known only by you. For others, however, school has already started and their summer has ended. SO - whad'ja do?

#2 \| 89 days ago Jess (+)	(Edited by Jess) +2 1 - Went on a trip inland (Idaho and Montana) to drop the munchkin off at my mom's and hit Seattle on the way back. As much as I love my family and cherish spending time with them, I don't generally consider visiting them a "vacation", especially when you've moved far away from "home" and when you go back to the area you're pulled in all different directions and need a vacation when you get back. 2 - We went to a Mariners game, and even though they lost it was a BLAST. The whole road trip back home from my mom's was awesome, and Seattle never disappoints. 3 - Yep, my cousin Lacey came to stay with us all the way from Idaho, and my mom will be here next week from Montana 4 - We're trying to fit a camping trip in and I'd like to hit the dunes before it's all over :) 1. Went to Minnesota (met the kids 1/2 way) to pick up "The Magnificent JJ" ~ Went to Tulsa to attend a daughter's divorce hearing ~ Taking JJ back to Michigan tomorrow 2. Went to the Omaha Zoo and swimming and to the local dirt track for racin' and bike riding and... 3. I hosted JJ from Michigan. Also, the daughter and her 2 boys (Elijah and Isaiah) came for 7 weeks from Tulsa to spend time here in Podunk. 4. Still have plans to ride a roller coaster before Summer ends. 1. #7 \| 89 days ago kramer (+)	1. I went on a vacation, but it wasn't with my family. I was pushing patients around a hospital all day long for a summer job. 2. I went with my friends for a few days on a NE road trip per se. A friend and I flew into Newark and met up with 3 of our friends (2 from South Jersey and 1 who had just moved to Albany for law school). We spent the next day in NYC, my first time there and I had an awesome time! Then we went back to South Jersey to stay with my friend and his sister at their place while we went to the beach and blew some money at Caesar's in Atlantic City. After that we went to his aunt & uncle's house for dinner. The last day the girl in Albany went back as us 3 guys spent some time in Philly before flying back home. It's the last time I've seen my friend from Philly and the one in Albany, as she started law school and he went to the Caribbean for med school. 3. Nobody came to visit me this year, I went to see them. 4. I just got back to school about 3 hours ago, and I have working internet already! 1. I didn't go anywhere but I was BUSY running around 2. #10 \| 89 days ago tpowell25 (+)	1 - Didn't really go on a family vacation. Summer is the busy time at work for us, so no extended vacations. 2 - Went to a Braves game. Other than that, playing golf is as exciting as it gets during the summer for us. (are you detecting a trend here?) 3 - We had relatives from Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama visit us. 4 - Thankfully summer is almost over. Work slows up after the summer is over and we could really use the break. Plus, we get to go on vacation. It starts with a trip to Atlanta this weekend to see Bama and Clemson play. #13 \| 89 days ago kteacher (+)	I went to Mexico for a week with my two sisters, had a "girls" weekend in Palm Springs, finally saw the Dodgers win while I was there, went zip lining for the first time, saw 5 new movies this summer, and completed two classes for my masters. I just went back to school to get my classroom ready, but won't start getting paid till after Labor Day. Like every year, this Summer was over before it began. 1. Yes! I went to ___________ 2.
