Yeah but the yankees need pitching the Mets are just a very streaky team so its Mets for me!

Reyes and Wright are the better SS/3B combo and a lot of that has to do with age! Jeter turns 34 in July, I mean honestly this is not as close as it seems!

its hard to find a duo (as much as i hate to say it) better than the A-Rod/Jeter. If they can start winning championships, they could go down as one of the best duos

Thanks I did mean question 2 but Reyes is 24 Wright is 25 and they will keep getting better. At their age Wright is already ranked number 4 in the MLB and Reyes 11 while A-rod is 1 jeter is 31

Ok. Is that because they've won 26 world series? Haha sorry but the Yankees don't, at least as I look at it have any pitching. Phil Hughes people wanted sent to the minors until he gott injured, and think about it, if the yanks got rid of him they would have johan santana. Ian Kennedy was horrible and really the only Yankee that is any good right now is Wang and Farnsworth

The better combo is A-Rod/Jeter, more hits, more extra base hits, more homeruns; etc... But The Reyes/Wright combo will steal more bases... It hard to compare these guys because both combo's are great.

(Edited by bookiebuster)

Don't get me started on Philip Hughes, folks.

The guy is one of the most overrated "prospects" Ive ever seen. I could have told you that last year, or right now.

He will be lucky to have a 10 win season in his career.

Farnsworth no...Wang hell yeah!

I think the yankees have a better bullpen than the mets, I mean the names Joba, Mariano, and Farnsworth jump at me more than Feleciano, Wagner, and sosa (I probaly spelled Feleciano wrong)

Hughes has struggled, why I don't know, but he has been awful this season and so has Kennedy. However, Rasner TOURCHED the minors with a .87 ERA, and got a win the other day for the Yanks. Not to mention that Igawa has seemed to have found his stuff again as he too has been called up and will start this season! You mix and match this with Wang, Pettitte, and Mussina, you have a decent rotation, better than the Mets IMO...offense  both teams seem, to be at about the same pace! Now if you want to ask who will win more games this year, my money would be on the Yanks all biased parts of me aside!

To me Santana, Maine, Pelfrey, Pedro, Perez much better than Wang, Pettite, Mussina. But of course Pedro is injured but threw his first game in the minors yesterday. The Mets offence has just gotten off to a slow start.

i agree it was a better 4 or 3 than the yanks top 3, however as you mentioned he became injured. And who knows if he will be all that effective when you add in age and injury prone, Pedro ius not as valueable as many seem to think!
