+5 thumbs up

Isaac Bruce, ever heard of him?

  • 2007 - Achieved 14,109 receiving yards and 942 receptions, putting him at 6th place for all-time receptions and 3rd for total yardage. He is also 13th all time in receiving touchdowns with 84. He is the most prolific receiver in Rams history in every category.

+3 thumbs upI see only 4 players here that really have no chance of getting in, but then I've seen players that deserve to be in (Randy Gradishar) get passed over and players that are less deserving get in just because their teams won a super bowl. If winning a super bowl is all it takes, then let's toss Dan Marino out and replace him with Matt Cassell.

+2 thumbs upIts so tough for WR's to get in.. Plus right now Bruce is overshadowed by TO and Moss. Thats not to say he wont get it, but it will be while.

+1 thumbs upI didn't put Brady in cause he's SO young and he'd get in on the "next" ballot; Gates, yes it is hard for Tight Ends but he is the Template for the BEST at the position, so I put him in the Hall!

+1 thumbs upIsaac Bruce is an obvious choice for H.O.F because he was one of the elites at his prime he is like a Randy Moss or Terrell Owens. And both Moss and Owens will make it as so will Bruce

Being obvious doesnt mean a lock. He was never an elite, but a good WR. He may have the stats. To prove my point is Art Monk was an obvious choice and look how long its taken him to get in. Rean and understand wht I wrote

i think Wide Receivers are underrated for getting into the H.O.F. as you said but i fell Isaac Bruce will get his time
    1. BRETT FAVRE  2. PEYTON MANNING  3. MICHAEL STRAHAN  4. MARVIN HARRISON  5. TOM BRADY  6. RANDY MOSS  7. LADANIAN TOMLISON  8. RAY LEWIS  9. TERRELL OWENS  10. STEVE HUTCHINSON

+2 thumbs upI think Bruce is more deserving than TO or Moss. Moss started his career with a bang... then his numbers, attitude, and level of play went down steadily until he got out of Oakland... I think he needs a few more seasons with Brady before I'd give him my vote... TO? Hmmm... hard to argue his numbers. Played on 3 different winning teams...but no ring (yet)... but begrudgingly I'd have to vote for him.
    1. LARRY ALLEN  2. BRETT FAVRE  3. PEYTON MANNING  4. TOM BRADY  5. JONATHAN OGDEN  6. RAY LEWIS  7. LADANIAN TOMLISON  8. MICHAEL STRAHAN  9. MARVIN HARRISON  10. ADAM VINATERI

+1 thumbs upyou know... I think Larry Allen is best of the whole group. His rings, longevity, multiple positions, probowls... not a flashy player at an unflashy position... but not one guy on that list would have a better resume than Allen...
    1. LARRY ALLEN  2. BRETT FAVRE  3. PEYTON MANNING  4. TOM BRADY  5. JONATHAN OGDEN  6. RAY LEWIS  7. LADANIAN TOMLISON  8. MICHAEL STRAHAN  9. MARVIN HARRISON  10. ADAM VINATERI

+2 thumbs upi would've liked to add vinateri 'cause of all the big time kicks he made for the pats. he was clutch and hopefully he makes it someday, but they really don't like putting kickers in.
    #14 | 33 days ago

+2 thumbs upJohn Lynch was never even the best DB on his own team (Barber in TB, Bailey in Denver)
    1. TOM BRADY  2. PEYTON MANNING  3. BRETT FAVRE  4. LADANIAN TOMLISON  5. RAY LEWIS  6. RANDY MOSS  7. LARRY ALLEN  8. JONATHAN OGDEN  9. MICHAEL STRAHAN  10. MARVIN HARRISON

Seeing how Lynch is a Safety his responsibilities are different than that compared to a CB. You compared him to a pair of Corners. So I dont think that is a fair comparsion. Its like comparing a pass catching TE to a WR

+1 thumbs upvery well said...safeties have a completly different job then a CB and yes barber and bailey are both GREAT players....lynch was also there in the back to help them as well...anytime you see a tackle the 47 was there somewhere...he wont get in anytime soon but he should definately get in....a great safety....one of the best of all time in my own opinion

That may be true, but the point is that Ronde Barber and Champ Bailey are more deserving of being on this list than Lynch is.

That maybe true, but Baliey and barber are still playing and they will be voted in by position

I don't think Lynch is a hall of famer. LeRoy Butler belongs in HOF a lot more than Lynch at safety.

    +3 thumbs upnever an elite!?!
    - 119 receptions in a season in 1995 (4th all time), im not even sure if TO has ever had 100 receptions in a season. randy moss is #10 with 111 reception in his best reception season.

    - 1781 recieving yards in one season (only 67yds behind the record set by jerry rice) putting him #2 on the list. Moss is #10 with 1632, and TO is #36 1451.  heck bruce is also #34 (ahead of TO twice and having two better single seasons that was better than TOs best all time in his career).

    - superbowl rings? Bruce has 1, while the Dominant and Overshadowing Moss and TO have ZERO.
super bowl appearances with dominant performances:
    Randy Moss (2008) 5catches 62yards 1TD
    T.O. (2005) 9catches 122yards 0TDs
    Isaac Bruce (2000) 6catches 162yards 1TD
    Issac Bruce (2002) 5catches 56yards 0TDs

i think if you were elite you may:
    1. win a superbowl
    2. play in more than one super bowl
    3. actually show up to the superbowl and be the better reciever on your team @ the superbowl.

have you ever heard of the greatest show on turf?

not sure you know what an elite is after that comment

Thats not elite. I never said he wasnt good. Take off your Rams glasses. He was never even considered the best WR in his conference let alone the NFL. He has some good stats. But where was he in SB 36? If he is such the ELITE WR why is he in SF. Ohhh now you will say cuz he is old? I know whats Elite and its not Bruce
