Lots of Minor League stuff in Idaho (where I'm from).

San Diego (where I currently live)...not so sure about...but they do have the NFL/MLB/NBA.

Still follow the Idaho Minor League stuff, though.

1. The closest minor league team to Pittsburgh is the Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League.  Washington, PA is about a half-hour south of the city.

4. The U.S. Open has been played a number of times (including just last year) at Oakmont Country Club, which is about 20 minutes out of the city limits.

Closest minor league team is the Gary South Shore Railcats. I've been to a few games, but don't really follow them.

Chicago Fire for MLS, and I just found out today that there's a Lacrosse team called the Chicago Machine.

Western Open used to come to the suburbs. Cog Hill or Seven Bridges. And the Illini play some games at the United Center and Nortwestern plays in Evanston. Also DePaul and Loyola are right here on the North Side, but I don't know if you would consider those large colleges.

We are getting a single A baseball team and semi-pro basketball team.  We have had semi-pro football in the past.  They actually won the National title.  But truthfully I would rather go to the local college basketball, football, and baseball.  No one goes to see the college baseball team, yet the city thinks we need to build a multi-million dollar facility for a new baseball team.  Makes no sense.  Plus I can watch a college baseball game for 5 bucks.  Can anyone tell me the price of a single-a ticket?
