This was the only race in which Dale Sr., Dale Jr., and Kerry Earnhardt got to race each other. They became the first family since Lee, Richard, and Maurice Petty in 1960 to accomplish this feat. Unfortunetaly Kerry wrecked out of the race on lap 5.

Also..

This was the only Winston/Nextel Cup race in which ESPN neglected to do post-race interviews due to time constraints. The X-Games were more important on this day, apparently.

 You guys did a good job at attacking the states I like teams in, but the only real state in the union is CA, where I'm from  So remember this, CA owns Texas and CA stole the Lakers from MN.
