+1 thumbs upthe Pens probably have the craziest and most interesting FA situation- Hossa may be offered a blockbuster deal, they might lose Malkin to Russia, and they have a ton of guys that need to be signed. If I recall correctly, the Pens only have like 7 guys signed for next year

Kings already had Glen Murray----been there done that! The Kings want young----"just say no to Glen Murray Dean!" Wouldn't mind the Kings getting Brooks Orpik!

If Hossa signs with the Pens, they won't even offer Malone a contract.  As for Malkin, The IIHF issued a statement yesterday which states:

"We would view any signing, from either side, of a player under a valid contract, who does not have any legally valid out-clause, to be a clear violation of the mutual understanding and existing principle. It would potentially be punishable with suspended national team eligibility and suspension from all competition or activity organized by the IIHF or any IIHF member national association. This would include events like the Olympic Winter Games, the IIHF World Championship or international club competitions like the Champions Hockey League."

So don't worry, he's not leaving the NHL anytime soon.  The Pens seem to be close to a deal with Fleury if I remember correctly.  They'll have most of their guys back, but the way it looks right now, the 2 unrestricted guys who seem to be on their way out are Malone and Orpik.

Well it looks like Hossa's chances signing with the Pens is dropping, as he has already stated that he will be testing the market. Malone and Orpik will likely be targeted by other teams and are probably gone.

As for Bouwmeester, he has a good chance of singing a long-term deal with Florida as Jokinen has been traded away which frees up cap space

Yeah I found that out at the Pirates game earlier when they showed the sports headlines.  Well, looks like it's time to start badgering Malone..."come on Ryan, don't you wanna stay home and play?  Do you really wanna go to Columbus where you'll never sniff a Stanley Cup?"
