Now being that I don't remember the other 3 coaches listed, because I was either not born or extremly young when they coached and the less than stellar replacments since Holtz retired. Holtz is my favorite, but the other 3 were also great coaches and anyone of them deserves the honor of being called ND's greatest coach.

I HAVE TO SAY KNUTE ROCKNE NOT ONLY FOR HIS GREAT TEAMS, BUT BECAUSE HE INVENTED THE FORWARD PASS!  JUST MY OPINION!

Rockne pioneered the pass as a player w/Gus Dorais. Rockne's teams were dominant, no doubt, and he was genius motivator and self-promoter. That said, Leahy's teams didn't lose a game over a four year span. That's pretty unbelievable.

When in doubt, go with the numbers; Rockne- .881, Leahy - .855

Holtz is absolutely my favorite leprachaun, but it was a tossup for me with Ara and Knute, and I clicked before I changed, I really wanted to say Knute..LOL
