I like Robinson, but you could tell Duncan was better his rookie year.

+4 thumbs upI say David because he was Duncan's mentor in the NBA.  Duncan learned a lot from Robinson.

Other than the aforementioned stats, he brought class (Sportsmanship award/.David and his wife, Valerie, founded the Carver Academy in San Antonio, which opened its doors in September 2001. To date, the Robinsons have donated more than $11 million to the school, believed to be the largest contribution ever made by a professional athlete) and skills of a Center that was beyond his time. First player in NBA history to rank among the top five in rebounding, blocks and steals (per game) in a single season.  Fourth player ever to score 70+ in an NBA game and 3-time Olympian (1988, '92, '96).

+2 thumbs upRobinson was little more than an above-average NBA player without Duncan.  Tim is the better player (possibly the best big man of all-time), and Tim made David a Champion.

Robinson right now was a better player but Tim Duncan is still in the NBA if u didnt notice and still has a long time to play so Duncan should hopefully pass Robinson in my list.

For the Spurs, i think David brought them to the front, but they didn't start winning titles until Duncan arrived, i think Duncan has been better for the team's sucess rate in the playoffs, but David made them relevant. I think Duncan is better, just because they started to win titles when he arrived.

+1 thumbs upThey were both good for each other, Tim learned from David and David finally got to the top of the mountain and Tim couldn't have been any happier than to see it happen.
