#15 \| 129 days ago rebelyankee55 (+)	(Edited by rebelyankee55) Undoubtedly, Dale Earnhardt Sr, cus he could see the air and knew how to use it to his advantage at Talladega and Daytona. He's last on my list b'cus he's not a current driver but he was the best. Jimmie Johnson is tops due to his 4 championships and the greatness of Chad Knaus. Without Chad, I doubt Jimmie would have done better. These two are the greatest team. Tony Stewart due to what he has accomplished as a team owner and driver. I think what he's done is awsome. Mark Martin because of his 4 wins this season and all of his previous wins in Cup, Nationwide, and Truck series races and at age 50 no less. Jeff Gordon was great in his early days and can still drive, he was great back then and is a great competitor. I already mentioned Dale. IMO, NASCAR racing, with all the new rules and the COT, is still good but not as great as before the death of Dale Sr. It seems to me that his death took alot out of the drivers, especially Dale Jr, and the sport. There's too much political correctness and such to make it the sport it once was. This can be said about most any sport or anything in America.....why? It's all in the name of progress and technology. That's not tto say they are bad but someday, in the future, all this progress and technology is going to take a nose dive and the world will be like living in the dark ages again.
