Yeah I think this is it too. He was kind of upset that the Pack didn't get Moss.

I don't know about that.  The defense is pretty good and Rogers is serviceable.

I play Madden football video game and in the 2005 version when Favre retires after the 2005 season I signed Culpepper as a free agent and won the Super Bowl. haha Yeah, Moss wants to sign where Daunte signs, too, so there you go.  Favre wouldn't be happy about that. "Oh, so you wait for me to leave to sign Moss.  I see how it is."

I lost count somewhere, but if I'm right I believe this would be his third time retiring.

+1 thumbs upGood poll idea. I don't think they have that one yet. Where do you rank Favre among the best? Your idea. Go do that AZ. So I could have something to answer. In my opinion he's in the top 5 of all-time. His heart for the game brought enough excitment alone. And the man has produce numerous amazing plays. Too many to count. I ain't no Pack fan.....but he'll be miss on my end.

+2 thumbs upHe is one of the best of all time and certainly one of the funnest to watch.  I think any story is overkill beyond reporting the facts, but I think this is a big deal.  I would put him in the top five of players I've watched myself, but I don't know about for all-time where I would place him.  He won MVP three times in a row, too, and that's pretty significant in any sport.

+1 thumbs upthe only thing wrong with that, is that super bowls are a TEAM sport, not a 1 player sport. Dan Marino never won a SB but that doesnt mean he is a bad QB or doesnt deserve 2 be in the Top 10. Now, just out of curiosity. Who ARE your top 10 QB's?? (not trying 2 sound like a bitch or anything haha. i just threw me off a LOT when u said not even a Top 10)

Jim Hart, Neil Lomax,.... just kidding, no he is one of the best all time as far as excitement, but for me he just throws to many INTs, and maybe he would of had super bowl #2 if he was more under control, because he totally blew that NFC championship game, with 2 horrible passes, that got picked, and both were balls that should have never been thrown, I think he is a top 10 guy though, I was wrong when I said he wasn't a top 10 QB. Hey its just my opinion anyway, no matter what anybody says he is a H.O.F QB.

+1 thumbs upI have to agree that the big knock on him is not nly the number of INT's, but they always seemed to come at a very critical time.  I would still likely put him in my top 10 QB's though.

I think GB will be fine without Brett-- maybe they might lose a couple more games with Rodgers as QB, but if they get a solid veteran backup QB, they won't see that much of a drop-off.   This is not a knock on Brett, but instead what I think they have as far as the rest of the team in place at GB.

+1 thumbs upHis heart for the game kept him in it so long, that and, every other team in the NFL went through more quarterbacks than the Packers over the last 20 years, 16 with Brett. Brett's three straight MVP awards will make him a first ballot hall-of-famer, not only is he the only three time winner, but, he also won them consecutively

Well statistically speaking... this is Tiger or MJ retiring.  Just sayin'.  Overall I agree because I'm kind of sick of being reminded of him retiring everytime I turn on the tv.

+1 thumbs upI wouldn't take it to that extreme, maybe in Green Bay, Brett stats are a lot to do with his era and longevity, he does not have any single season records except maybe ints, and if Peyton or Brady play another 7-10 those records are long gone again except the ints, But Brett was great and is a hall of famer no doubt.

True, although nobody is going to be raising football to another level anytime soon.  It'll be #1 in our nation regardless of the players and what they do.

I didn't really mean in popularity.  I meant the way they played the game.  They played at a level above anyone before them.
