Still Like Favre over Rodgers?
After 2 weeks  here is the stat line:
att    com  yds  td  in    rat      rush yds   rush td   sacked       team record
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rodgers   42 - 60 - 506 - 4 - 0   118      60               1                  1                  2-0

Favre         33 - 48 - 375 - 3 - 1    104       9               0                   5                 1-1

Rodgers has outplayed favre in both games. Do you see this trend continuing?  With the loss at home to Brady-less pats will favre lead Jets to a better record? Will Rodgers stay healthy?  Big game for AR vs Cowboys next week. What is your gut telling ya after 2 weeks?

Rodgers is poised, mature, and confident. He has excellent chemistry with his big play WR's. If he stays healthy ... Packers will be right there in January. I'm glad that after 2 weeks some of the favre nazis have quieted down.Beating Boys next Sunday is a tall order... but expect AR to play well. Unlike many 1st time starters, he knows this offense like the back of his hand.  As the youngest team in NFL, I thought they let down in 2nd half vs Lions ... but woke up and put them away. So far, on a scale of 1-10 grading AR after 2 starts... got to give him a strong 9 !

I don't know that the Packers performance thus far (in wins and losses, at least) would have been non-trivially different under Favre, and if that trend holds I don't imagine that the trade can be looked at with disfavor; it was before the season, and continues now to be, my sense that the Packers would miss the playoffs with or without Favre, and if a season is to be written off, I don't know that one shouldn't get all that he/she might (here, a second-round pick) out of it.  The team would, though, it is fair to say, be more fun to watch with Brett, and might, one supposes, have one more win; should it finally seem evident that the Packers with Favre would have made the playoffs, the analysis will rightly be quite different, and I don't yet know what exactly to think.
