That's interesting...

I love music, like a lot. I have a lot of different genres on my iPod. I had my iPod on shuffle, and it played "Men In Black" by Will Smith, followed by "The Star Spangled Banner" that Whitney Houston sang at Super Bowl XXV.

What is the most interesting song/artist you have on your iPod/mp3/music player?

Hmm, probably the most bizarre song I have is a song by Allan Sherman entitled "You Went the Wrong Way, Old King Louie."  It's a parody combining the tunes to the French national anthem and the song "You Came a Long Way from St. Louis."

I have the good ol hockey game, a bunch of old rap from when I was in middle school and liked it (Too Short, DJ Quick), Garth Brooks, a couple sitcom opening songs, a couple 80's movie soundtracks, and my favs now (Duffy, Leona Lewis, Carrie Underwood, some other rock stuff, ect..) You name it, I probably have it on my IPOD.

I don't think I could limit it to just one interesting song or artist.  Some of the most interesting and unusual artists I have are Mazzy Starr, Sigur Ros, Portishead, Velvet Acid Christ, Matisyahu, Asylum Street Spankers and Lord Kitchener just to name a few.

I cover everything:  Classic Country, Classic Rock, Disco, Techno/Trance, Reggae/Ska, Zydeco, Celtic, Rap, Hip-Hop, old R&B, Heavy Metal, Jazz, and everything in between.

Most interesting songs?..........

* Party Party Join Us Join Us by Akiko Yajima (from the Crayon Shin Chan cartoon)
* Freaker by  the Speaker -- Keller Williams
* The Pussycat Song -- Asylum Street Spankers

+1 thumbs upBrooklyn Tabernacle Choir singing "Happy Birthday Jesus" ~ I have all their stuff but this song is really the most interesting and touching one. I tend to listen to it when I need to be inspired, which is about always.

I have from Steven Curtis Chapman to James Taylor to Ben Harper to Jimi Hendrix and kinds of stuff in between on my IPod. That might appear to be a bit odd to folks.
