The Phillies are the first team to lose 10,000 games. There was an article last year, or so, in USA TODAY.

Cardinals haven't even lost 10,000 games yet. Phillies have 10,098 and the Redbirds have 9,271.

+1 thumbs upDo you mean the first team to loose 10 games? I noticed that you used a decimal point instead of a comma.

10,000=Ten thousand
10.000=Ten and zero one hundreds

Actually the Braves should reach the 10,000 mark next, then the Cubs,  then the Reds,  Pirates and then the Cardinals in about 10 years or so.

Some of these teams have been around for over 130 years. The fact that they are reaching the 10,000 loss mark is to be expected.

+1 thumbs upThe questioner hails from continental Europe, across much of which (as, too, for instance, in South America, IIRC) it is not uncommon to separate thousands with what might otherwise be known as a decimal point and to use the comma as a decimal separator (as often, the point or comma within the body of the number is omitted altogether, replaced by a simple space, whilst the decimal separator is a lower comma; there exist also other styles, relative to which I would direct one to Wikipedia's not-bad article on the topic, which I adduce only because I happen to have edited it a bit).
