2008 Masters Tournament Odds: You've Got A Better Chance Than The Field

by CriticalFanatic | 4/7/0817 Comment Comments »
2008 Masters Tournament Odds: You've Got A Better Chance Than The Field PhotoWe don't follow golf's major tournament odds religiously, but as an avid fan of the sport I believe this may be the closest Vegas has ever came to guaranteeing a Tiger Woods victory.

Hard to blame the odds, as we'd also give you a better chance at winning than Phil Mickelson or any other golfer not named Tiger.

Here's the Masters field as of today and more importantly the odds to win the 2008 Masters Tournament:

Tigers Woods 7/5
You 4/1*
The Field 9/2
Phil Mickelson 8/1
Ernie Els 15/1
Vijay Singh 18/1
Jim Furyk 20/1
Adam Scott 25/1
Retief Goosen 25/1
Sergio Garcia 25/1

Last year's champion Zach Johnson is a surprising 40/1. If forced to pick someone other than Tiger, I'd go with Aaron Baddeley at 80/1.

*not really, just in case you were an idiot.

I'm on the Andres Romero bandwagon.  I love this guy.  You have Ogilvy on two questions, dunno if you meant to do that or not.

+2 thumbs uplol...two people think the winner is going to be 18 to 22 under par.  They must have missed that Johnson won this at 1 over last year.  Oh and the fact that the USGA will keep making courses harder until the winner is 10 over.

I screwed up and just added my four low rounds together.  The chances of them all belonging to the same golfer are pretty unlikely, lulz.  I think the winner will be -4.
