I have became more interested in Hockey since I joined.  I didn't realize it was as popular as it is.  Living in the South we don't follow the sport.

Unless I can watch the sport on tv, I don't really follow it. Hopefully getting a dish soon, so my sports horizons should expand alot. One thing I found here is that people are really passionate about players and teams that I have never heard of. This alone makes me want to check out more, especially baseball.

For me Q is the pyramid where many thoughts are at work, to build positive energy which the life needs , yes it has some negative energies at work, in equal and opposite, but positive is the outcome always, like in humanity, it is always the love that wins, making life a better way to live and not just exist.
Mind has visited the physical place of the site, saw the good and bad vibrations, as in life, it is part of the games that we play, so live life to the fullest, enjoy the joys of life, be happy. Each of us have both positive and negatives in us, like a snake trying to eat its tail, but never succeeds.!

yes, yes, 98.4 times yes.. people who know me knew that sports were not for me(hence my name).. but over time, I have learned to follow the games, and understand and enjoy watching them now. I am still not fluent in sports gibberish, but I do know a a lot more than I did.  I have teams I root for NOT cause they are hot or have pretty jerseys, I yell at the tv, hold my breath for close games, and get upset when they lose.

I blame you people of the Q for this..if it weren't for this site, I still wouldn't care about sports.

Great Poll!

I have always been interested in cricket, because it has such a popular appeal to billions in the world. But I do not get to see it on TV. I am a visual person and without matches to watch, and with someone who can answer questions it can be difficult.

But I have started reading Cricket articles, because we have some talented writers from India on the Q, sharing their passion for Cricket.

Haven't picked a favorite team yet.

Any of my fellow Q'ers from India care to tell me what team I should follow? Tell me about your favorite non-national team.

i came across many sports, players and team after linked with          Q .Still trying to be aware of all games . I cant dare to comment at this juncture, but I will be geared up sooner or later. Not only that, but I got opportunity to comment on cricket too. It is a very good dais for me as I, in no way, get chance to interact with many people coz I am most of the time at countryside and with my workers.
Yes Q has boldly brought us closer.

Thanks for the compliment.

My favorite Non-national team is the Delhi Daredevils which plays in the Indian Premier League the team includes the 2 Most Destructive Batsmen of the world Virender Sehwag and Tilakratne Dilshan plus the 2 most consistent batsmen in the world A B Devillers and Gautam Gambhir. Bowlers lineup includes Aussie Veteran Glen Mcgrath along with the best left arm spinner in the world Daniel Vettori together these players along with a few more talented young cricketers form one of the most exciting teams in the world.

i was thinking the same thing.. since I joined, I have definitely watched more hockey, my husband is a Blackhawks fan.. we get games here, but like you, I live in the south, and it really isn't too popular here.. mostly  nascar, college footbal and NFL... so I am very much a fan of those sports...oh yes, and basketball, college, and NBA very popular here as well

Well im not from India but the best team in the world..."The Aussies"  although this cricket season we have had some ups and down. I prefer the one dayers rather than the tests and as for loving the cricket then definitely our friends from India would be the top of the list i love to watch them play.

#36 | 34 days ago

I have learnt a great deal about other sports and actually do better than i expected in the quizzes about them, although i still cant decide on a team to follow for most of them...im sure i would get a lot of advice from die hard fans in the Q  telling me the team that they love ,so i wont single out a sport but just keep reading and learning. I still get confused though about which team plays what sport and have to look them up most of the time, but its all wonderful fun and enjoyment.

The Q has made me more tolerant of certain teams , such as the Nebraska Cornhuskers, or Ohio State, and even the Patriots
but only cos I have met some kickin' fans of the aforementioned.

I have learned a lot more about baseball, but the biggest lesson I learned, was how to interpret a point spread..LOL

I followed MLB closer this year than I have in years.  And it's mostly because of some of the great baseball fans here.  Plus the pickems....

I'm going to my first NHL game this year, probably in Minnesota, since it's the closest NHL.

I did stop and watch a cricket match recently on ESPN 4 or something like that.  Pretty cool game.  I still like baseball better....

Ummm, I still don't care for soccer......

I have always been a Huge Jock, and Love anything that is competitive. Yes, I have played Cricket as well. The only thing that has changed for me is that I am making time to pay attention to the Teams that I love. With 4 kids I would usually end up watching Barney, or Thomas Train. Now, I have my 3 yr old syked out with the Giants, and the Yanks!! He is such a little Jock already and I absolutely Love It!!
