The 'skins traded a 2nd round pick in the '09 draft and a 6th round pick in the '10 draft.

Was it worth it!?

+4 thumbs upFirst, this trade was freaking awesome for the Skins...especially for the little they had to give for him considering the situation they are in and in desperate need of a DE.  Secondly, no, they are not going to be favored in their division and especially not in the NFC as a whole.  They are still 3rd best.  They aren't ranked where they are because of their defense...it's because of their offense and their team as a whole compared to the rest of the division.  I accidentally picked a 3rd finish, but I don't really see that either...unless Philly flops again or the Giants have a hang-over year.  Clearly, though, this is Dallas' division to lose...and LT (the original) coming back in his prime to play for any of the other teams wouldn't be able to change that.

Maybe, but I'd love to have LT back!  And the Redskins r certainly glad he's not!  I wonder if he sent a hooker to Theisman as an apology...

The Skins have made strides to make their D better, and Taylor's better than what they had, anyway.  It'll make the East just that much more tough.

It improved their defensive line, but Taylor is only one player. Not only did they lose Daniels, but they lost his backup as well. They really didn't improve that much with the addition of Taylor!

"3. How bad will the Dolphins D be? "

I don't think it's possible for the Dolphins to get any worse than they were last season.

I answered no for #1 only because of his age.  He'll be 34 which is pretty old for a defensive end.  I believe he said earlier this year that he may only play one more season.  If he retires after one year I don't think it's a great move for the Redskins.

Taylor gives the Redskins a top tier pass rusher- no doubt about it!! But, with that said, losing Daniels and Buzzbe (spelling) hurt their run stopping ability tremendously. Taylor isn't really known for his run stuffing at all and NFC East teams love to pound the rock!!! This move looks great as far as names go for the Skins- but how effective will he be when teams are running all over them.
