The Winning Play (Edited 05/09/08 09:13AM by sports_schmorts)
Ok, this poll is pretty easy. Below I'll list some potential game winners. You choose which one you would rather see. Please don't answer based on you favorite sport. For instance, if you like baseball and one of the game winner choices are "a Grand Slam in the bottom of the 9th. With 2 outs, 3 balls/2strikes and the bases are loaded to win the game" You can't choose that, You must choose another.
Have fun

+1 thumbs upI was at the game when the Kings scored 5 goals in the last 5 minutes of the third period against Dallas and the mighty Turco.

Even better, I was at the game when the Kings were losing 3-0 to the Red Wings, third period, game 4 of the play offs in round 1 (I think this was 2000) and scored 3 to tie in under 3 1/2 minutes. They eventually won in OT, and went on to win the series against the Wings.

While I had to watch it onTV, the first football game I can remember watching was the 1980 Holiday Bowl, aka the Miracle Bowl.  Jim MacMahon brough BYU back from 20 down in the 4th quarter, and ended it with a 41 yard Hail Mary TD to Clay Brown as the Clock ran out.
1. a "Hail Mary" with the clock running down  2. No

+1 thumbs upIt wasn't a grand slam, BUT, I was in attendance when the Pirates pitched a no-hitter back in 1997 and won 3-0 on a 3-run HR in the bottom of the 10th inning.  That was pretty sweet, the first time in MLB history that 2 pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter.

I went to a University of Louisville basketball game when I was almost six years old, and I remember the ending as if it happened yesterday.  Milt Wagner was fouled with less than a second left on the clock; the opponent was Memphis.  The score was Memphis 69-Louisville 68.  Wagner iced his free throws for a Louisville win 70-69.

+1 thumbs upI saw Carlos Lee hit a game winning grand slam in the bottom of the 10th against the Cubs.

Also last year during my daughters playoffs in basketball her team was down by 12 with 3 minutes to go in the 4th. My kid scored 11 points to bring them within 2 with 1.3 seconds left. She had 3 free throws and missed the last one on purpose to give her team a chance to get the ball back, but the other team had gotten the rebound. When they passed the ball inbounds one of the other girls from my daughters team tipped the ball to another teammate standing right outside the 3-point line. The ball went through the hoop at the buzzer.

This past season, I saw Ronald Ramon nail the game winning 3 at the buzzer to give Pitt the win over WVU.  It happened right in front of me then the place erupted in cheers.  Freakin sweet.

I scored 12 points in the last 70 seconds of a basketball game in High School,  only to lose the game due to a half court shot.  My MVP award was given to him.
